I have a warbonnet blackbird 1.1 dbl. With adjustable webbing suspension. Got this hammock a few months ago. Set up in the backyard 3 times for test hangs but never slept in. Comes with adjustable...
Hammock and tarp has been sold. Thanks everyone.
Any takers at $250.00 plus actual cost of shipping?
[QUOTE=boomer88;713965]What color is this set-up. Is it cammo?[/QUOTE
Sorry not the camo version. Tarp is green, hammock is green and black.
Price dropped to $280.00 shipped
Got the tarp measured today. Ridgeline is 127" head end 96" middle 90" footend 78" . Hope that helps clear up which tarp is included.
I'll set the tarp up in the morning and take some measurements.
Selling my NX-150 with XL tarp.
The bad: does not include tree straps, ropes or drip rings. Has a small hole in the mosquito netting about the size of a pencil eraser.
The good: hammock comes with...
Got mine today. Thanks Demostix, no more cold nose.
I'll take 1 in black if still available.
That was one of the funnest trip reports I've ever watched. Thanks for posting it.
The hot tarp looks to be coming together well. How much of a temp difference are you getting inside.
Thanks for posting this Fronkey. This was perfect timing, I had put a couple items in my cart last night but didn't check out so I added a pair of these with no additional shipping cost.
I bought a package from wally world in the arts and crafts section. They were called pony beads. Only a few bucks for a package of 500. Way more than I needed but that was the smallest package I...
Count me in as well. Thanks
Pm sent with offer.
Count me in. Thanks
Hammock gear quilts are just so sweet they smell like perfume.;)
I got a burrow in november that had a perfume smell to it also. I'm not allergic and it was a pleasant smelling perfume so not a...
Looks like yall had alot of fun. I like the idea of having a shelter to set your hammocks up in during foul weather.
Try a foam pad underneath for a cheap way to get some extra warmth.
They are good people. Great customer service and attention to detail.
I've been using one of their UQP on my last couple hangs and it amazing how much heat it adds to the underquilt. Stops all...
I have a wolf track tattooed on my left calf. I wear shorts mostly and a supervisor at work saw it and started calling me wolf track so that's what I used here.
That's great ill be swapping out the guyline on my superfly for the shockcord. Should make entry/exits alot easier in the middle of the night.
I hope to get back to Colorado soon but for sure im...
That is a sweet new setup.
Does the shockcord on the doors allow you to walk in and out without removing the guyline from the stake?
Are you still looking G.L.P. ?
A new surplus store opened here last week. I stopped in yesterday to check on these liners but the owner didn't have any in the store yet. He said he's probably got...
Happy birthday HangingKayaker. Thats a really cool present.
Thanks for showing the lazy slug, that's nice.
I'm liking that team wilderness logics flag.
Congrats on the new NX-250.
The whoopies are very easy to swap out. Once you untie the knot on the stock suspension tie the whoopie to that rope and when you pull out the stock rope it will thread...
Count me in
Thank you Fronkey
I see most recommendations for 1.1 single layer hammocks are for hangers 200 lbs. or lighter.
Does anyone over 200 lbs use one of these?
If so, do you notice any less comfort vs. heavier fabrics...
That's exactly what I've been thinking Southpaw.
My clark has me spoiled to zipping up the weather shield in the middle of the night if the wind picks up. The hoods at head and foot end are nice...
Sorry, I have closer to 20 ft. Not even close.
I'll have to measure how much Dynaglide I have I think it's 48 or 50ft. Ill measure and send PM.
That's great news. A pile of glow sticks just isn't the same as a campfire.
When used with the drip rings for adjustments they are ok, but I changed mine to whoopee sling. It only takes a few minutes to swap out. Add a caribiner or marlin spike hitch to the tree huggers and...
I've had my NX-150 for a little over a year now and the only cons are the weight and its a little too warm above 80°F. The thicker material doesn't breath as well as thinner hammocks.
The thicker...
Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm happy to report a full nights sleep in the BB. Too much sag was the biggest problem I think. Once I stretched it out a little I had a nice flat lay.
Well I've been playing with the BB since I got off work and I just about fell asleep on the last test.
Moving the foot end closer to its tree helped alot . I noticed last night even with the foot...
I'll give that a try tonight.
I should have mentioned I have the foot end at 8 to 10 inches higher, same as my nx-150 otherwise I wake up scrunched up at the foot end. I'll try shortening...
I got a WBBB a while back and tried my first overnighter last night. I had to give up and move into the house at about 2:30 this morning. I just could not get comfortable on my side. If my feet are...
Great idea on the stone soup.
How about some jalapenos for a kick?
You won't be disappointed. The weather shield is great in the colder months.
I'll take the gaiters. Sending PM.
Thanks for the photos More, it does look less transparent and more stealthy than the thinner white cuben.
Looking at mountain laurel designs website I noticed they are using cuben they refer to as olive, it doesn't look as transparent as most cuben I've seen. Wasn't sure if maybe it's just the camera...
Great looking pics guys. I especially like the last one of the sunset. Both times I've been through New Mexico has been mostly in the dark so it's nice to see some of the scenery I missed.
I never put much stock in the skins till I attended a group hang and got to check em out in person. Now I have a set for both of my tarps.
I stuffed mine into the built in pocket on my hammock for...
Those are some great pics. I wish your video camera had been going when your nightime visitor bumped your lines. Eyes big as saucers I bet.:scared:
Awesome equipment upgrades. 10lbs., that's a...
:D I wish it would have made the trip. When I got home I did have a liter of Colorado snow melt left in my water bottles. Now that's what I call the high quality H2O.
The best I can do right now...
