Thanks for the advice. I'll keep that in mind while I'm shopping around. I'm considering going DIY for a whole new setup at this point. Just for the shear pleasure of saying I did it, but I'm...
I figured as much. Thanks guys.
I'm still using my ENO DoubleNest. The length isn't a issue for me as I'm only 5' tall. With the adjust ability of Whoopie Slings I can get a pretty good comfortable lay. Actually using it now for...
So every time I get online lately I'm bombarded with this Serac hammock everywhere. Been thinking about trying one out. Supposedly it's all that and a bag of chips. The Sequoia XL Double Hammock...
It's probably about 12' roughly. I didn't measure exactly, just made sure I had at least 10'. I might try that. It seemed to sleep ok last night, but my lay was a little off.
Hey Yall,
It's been a while, but I'm back again :). After a split with my husband, I recently moved back in with my parents, and was sleeping on their couch. Until one night I was laying there,...
Thank ya'll.
Hey guys, I wanted to let ya'll know that Fluffy and I won't be able to make it down to Uwharrie after all. My Daddy was diagnosed yesterday with lung cancer and he's gonna be here in the hospital...
I love my Whoopies for the adjustability that I have.

Welcome!!!
Thanks guys. I ended up finding some shower curtain liners for 2 bucks a piece, I'm gonna try using those and see what happens. Like yall say though, I'll probably end up making a few before I get...
I know the feeling. A couple nights ago I was up all night on the forum as well. It's hard to put the laptop down when your learning new and interesting stuff.
Thank yall for the suggestions. I might have to try a few of those out.
That sounds like something I would do.
Looks like a nice little hike you had there.
I can understand where your coming from :)
Just entered. Thanks.
I love my Goodwill stuff, man. I washed it down thoroughly to be sure it was safe first though
Well, my boyfriend ended up making one, but I'm thinking of going in a little bit of a different direction than he did. I've got this brilliant image in my head, I just can't seem to be able to...
Well, I tried my little pad out last night just as an experiment. I ended up throwing it out in a maddened fit in the middle of the night. lol...
Well I'm only about 120lbs so I'm hoping it'll work. I'll probably try it at least. If it doesn't work worst case scenario I'll have a sore butt from hitting the ground lol.
Thanks yall
Looks good. Thanks for sharing.
Cool. Thanks. I might try it myself. I'm planning to make a new hammock and I'm trying to figure out what material to use. I have a lot of spare sheets that I don't need and I happened to wonder...
I was wondering if it would be possible to make a decent hammock out of a sheet. Any thoughts? Thanks.
I sleep in a different set of clothes, and I've also used baby wipes to wash off with, or a rag dipped in the creek. Also, maybe some dry shampoo, dirty hair can add to the funk.
I had a great time at this hang. Can't wait to do it again in March. I'm hoping to have an all new setup by then....
I recently came across a small one person inflatable pad/bed thingy at the Goodwill for 5 bucks. I was wondering how it will work out in my hammock. Has anybody tried using an inflatable pad, or...

Well that's a good idea, but our back yard is all garden, fenced in chicken yard, and driveway into the garage. And the rest of the yard we don't go in cause the neighbors have a mean dog who comes...
I'm excited as well. Hopefully it'll be a little warmer outside of the hammocks this time though lol.
Cool. Thanks.[
Well, not a hammock per say, but I did lay in a cot that was suspended from the ceiling on the USS North Carolina. They sway a little getting in and out sitting still in the water. I can imagine...
Welcome from another North Carolinian. :)
So I have materials set out before me and about to embark on the making of a DIY tarp. I want a good sized one with doors on each end. I'm 5' tall, and would prefer the tarp tall enough for me to...
