I'm in. Thanks
Happy Birthday Dutch. Let me guess...you're having tarts instead of cake?
My son Zane and I will be able to make the hang. Didn't know for sure untill a couple days ago if he would be able to go. He goes to college in Cleveland,OH and works a part time job,but was able to...
Incubator, love it!
Im in. Thanks
Had a great time even in the rain. Good to meet so many new folks and to see all of you from last year. Enjoyed the hike up the mountain with Jimbo & Shane. Dry boots do feel mighty good! 2Q, that...
Awsome music video. Makes me want to go back soon. Good to meet you also.
I have a smaller tarp I'll bring (I think 10x12) plus one of those 10x10 pop up shelters.
Welcome from Virgina.
Great story. Made me think of the Andy Griffith show when Andy didn't believe Opie about Mr McBeevee who walked arround in the trees and made smoke come out his ears.
Ok it's a done deal. The Mount Rogers Winter hang is Jan. 19,20,& 21st. I know Dutch will be there so we'll see. Maybe Hickery is keeping a secret and Shug will surprise us!!!
Check out www.warbonnetoutdoors.com. I sleep on my side and the blackbird hammock is so comfy. Also watch the set up video on the BB. Welcome to HF.
I'm just southeast of Roanoke in Franklin County. Don't know any place that has underquilts arround these parts. I have 2 uqs & 2tqs made by Hammock Gear I would be glad to show you. The best way to...
You will love anthing you get from Hammock Gear. They make some awesome Quilts. I would suggest the 20* Phoenix & the 20* Burrow. I have these and stay nice and toasty at those temps.
Got my 0* burrow a couple of weeks ago. Also got a 0* incubator. Bring on the cold temps!! Awesome job Adam & Jenny!
I was talking to Darby with Tree to Tree Trail Gear at Trail Days and told him I played an acoustic bass in a bluegrass band, so he called me " Thumper " because I thump a bass.
The ridgeline stays nice and straight. I use 2 prusik knots to attach my tarp and just pull the snake skins over all. By doing this you can easily adjust your tarp to center over your hammock. Also...
This is exactly what I use on my superfly.Works great.Quick and easy to set up. Very light. I also use a set of snake skins.
My son, cousin, and myself are just south of Roanoke,Va. Lots of trails not too far from home including the AT which we have been section hiking.
I did a lot of research and listening to others on HF before I made my purchase.I had a friend who had the HH Expedition and let me try it out.I liked it well enough, but the WBBB 1.1 won out for...
I use a 2nd pack cover with a draw string to lay my pack on under the foot end of my hammock. I can cinch it up tight & place my other pack cover on top. This has worked well for me.
I have to say both.I hiked for years with a heavy backpack, tent, etc.and still enjoyed myself. But now that I've gone ultralite and hammock camp(thanks to my son),I want to go more often and stay...
My son Zane and I will be there! Had a blast last year even if I was the only one one in a tent. Woke up a lot only to hear those in hammocks near me snoring. Then I remembered the reason Shug gave...
I'm a new member to HF but have been looking over my son (zane35)s shoulder for some time now and I am very impressed with the moderators and members of Hammock Forums. :thumbup1:
