My only worry (aside from finances) is the pace. How fast do you usually travel on the flat? Personally, I tend to average in the 12 to 14 MPH range, which is fairly slow.
It's crushed limestone; it looks pretty fine.

Registering interest here. I can do 40 to 60 mile days, particularly if there is a slight downgrade, like there appears to be here once past the first 25 miles or so.
