Unfortunately, I have to spend way too much time there trying to keep the peace. It's not an easy job as y'all have obviously already observed. LOL. I do like the atmosphere here much better too. ...
That's one Slowhike is gonna have to answer. I personally didn't click the link... I learned my lesson a long time ago...LOL.
Yes there was a link. If clicked it would install a malicious program on your system. So I suppose technically you could call this one a hacker if you wanted as well as a spammer.
We had the same thing happen over on SGT Rock's site a few weeks ago. It is definately a spammer. I forget the user id that was used over there but the pm was exactly the same.
I got the Jeanette PM also. I feel so special...;)
Rock tests his in the yard sometimes too, don't forget. :)
Man and I was in the market for a new provider just the other day too. Oh well they were a day late and a dollar short anyway. ;)
LOL... That's awesome!
There were three earlier... how odd... ~cue spooky music~
Unfortunately, I don't think he has access. We get to be just plain ole members over here.... yippeee!!!! ~doin the happy dance~ ;)
He usually works during the week and doesn't usually get online until he gets home. He should be online by at least midnight ET. Also if it were me, I'd only leave up one thread... that's all he'll...
Yes Slowhike, as mod you should be able to delete the threads, but an admin would need to ban the spammer. I happen to know just a teensy bit about that... LOL

Oak Mtn State Park used to be stomping grounds for me growning up... I knew it pretty well, it's been years since I've been there though.
Thank you HC4U for getting SGT Rock and I added so quickly too.
I'm not car camping and you obviously can't read.
#1 - my entire cookset including pot, stove, spoon, pot cozy/stuff sack, pot stand and windscreen only weighs in at 203 grams (or 7.17 ounces and SGT Rock carries enough alcohol for both of us so I...
I was thinking dryer vent....LOL. Silly me. :D
I would try the water bottle idea, but it's a heck no on the other one... sorry. I have no desire to become a roasted critter. ;)
And Good God...
Thank you NCPatrick and Slowhike. We had a great time.
ZDP-189, thanks for the advice. Luckily it seems I've finally got this thing figured out on keeping myself warm at night. :)
Went to Max Patch this weekend and used my new hammock for the first time. It worked GREAT for keeping me warm!!! I think the problem is solved. Temps were in the low 50's with high winds, but I...
Ditto... I was about to ask the same thing. Rock and I have already committed to being at the SORUCK which will be held MLK weekend we've been told. Very difficult to choose between two events we...
Don't count on that.... LOL. OK I'll post what I can remember of what we have, I'm sure I'll leave some stuff out.
9 hammocks (2 are Homemade)
2 gearskins
~5 Packs (I think that's all we have...
I like the multi-functionality of the No Sniveller personally, since I need to carry both a top quilt and under quilt to be sure I stay warm (even if I never use the under quilt on a particular...
Rockstar, I'm 5'3" and I have the JRB No Sniveler and it works just fine for me as an underquilt. I weighed mine at 21.48 ozs, not a bad weight in my book either considering I need to keep my pack...
I don't think I want to post our gear list...LOL. Let's just say there is enough gear that we could outfit 6 hikers completely for a trip and have gear left over. (We did that recently.)
We are...
They sure do slowhike. I've gotta not feel "trapped" or else I feel like I'm going to panic. That's something I've really been struggling with in the HH.
Updating on the staying warm issues...
Have now tried the pad that SGT Rock made for me (the pocket pad). It works great for not sliding around inside the hammock... almost too well in fact as...
That's really sweet of you. Rock would've driven us there, but I was too sore to ride that far in the car was the problem. I tried to keep up with Jester's tour (he was keeping a pretty fast pace...
So sorry we didn't make it down there from the Gathering Saturday night like we'd planned. I just couldn't travel another hour by car that night after trying to keep up with a walking tour of the...
Sgt Rock, our 2 boys and myself are planning on hanging out with y'all Saturday evening only.
I'm sure you can do it. :)
Yep you got it right. :)
edit: Oops should've kept reading... Rock had already answered...LOL.
You sold me with this statement. I've always been frustrated sewing 1.1 because of the slick issues.
SGT Rock just finished building a warbonnet hammock stand for us so that we can do testing here at home (since we don't have adequate trees in the yard). When he saw these stands at Trail Days this...
Here's a couple of sites I have in my bookmarks collection. I've not personally ordered from them.

Hi Bill, You've successfully done your duty. :D We actually have one. Wind isn't what's causing my problem and according to Rock if that were my problem then he'd have me using the SS.
Yes I...
Just finished ordering mine. :D
I've slept on one of those military CCF pads...LOL. Difference is night and day. The military CCF pads are hard as a rock, where as these pads that HC and I are discussing are very soft and...
Hi HC!
That's looks like the same material as Rock's pad. His came from Oware USA though, double thickness.
Some here already know me from WhiteBlaze and Hikinghq, I'm SGT Rock's wife. I've also this year moved from being just a day hiker to doing a few short trips with Rock and the boys. We are all...
Uh oh, I'll have to remind him to only use his powers for good from now on. ;)
Rock and I are taking the boys to the the Gathering that weeking. Might see if we can at least pop by for a visit since we'll be so close, no promises though. :)
Thanks, been reading for a few days now. :)
That's typically been mine and SGT Rock's experience with Tom and Ann. They are great folks! :)
