Sounds like your the right person to help educate your fellow campus hangers. :-) You can politely make suggestions here and there.
Currently one setup I'm running is Dutch Cinch Bugs with sew on clips. Works flawless, easy and quick to set up!
1st and been using nonstop lately, Dutch cinch bugs! 2nd is straps\marlin hitch\Whoopie slings.
I've used my cinch bugs on 15ft Web a handful of times now. And really enjoying them. The few extra Oz is not a deal breaker for me. Great suspension setup.
Loving my new cinch bugs!
I snake skin my hex fly by itself and use the bag it came in. Is a tight fit, but works great. I Also use a continuous ridge line on the tarp. I made the bag my hammock came in, into a bishop style...

Yes, already running CL on the ends of all my hammocks, and marked head ends. I've tried all kinds of suspensions over the years. Time to try some Dutchware. :-) There are some wooded areas around...

Mine and my son's 4th of July hang.
I use the small aluminum figure 9 on tarp ridge line with the nite ize reflective cord. Works flawless.
Being looking at your stuff for a while. Just haven't pulled the trigger, yet. Maybe this will help me get going on the "bing" factor. Haha
I like your make shift trees! I'm looking into doing something similar.
I'm 6'4" 260. I like my ENO dbl for the casual hang or afternoon nap. It stays in my truck. So far I'm feeling pretty comfortable in my new HH ED zip. Haven't spent a lot of time in yet though. A few...
I've got continuous 8" Amsteel loops at both ends with rappel rings. Then I attached the stock cordage to the tree huggers, wrap around tree and run the cord through the other sewn end. Works great...
I'm loving my HH Explorer Deluxe Zip. With a few modifications to the suspension of the hammock and the tarp.
6'4" 255lbs here.
Eno double nest with fixed ridge line is my always with me relaxing hammock. And a Hennessy Hammock Explorer deluxe zip for camping, with hex fly. Both work great for me...

I thought I knew the route I was going with his great hardware. But now you've just got me thinking. Great video by the way. Thanks for sharing.
I've hung in local parks for the afternoon lots of times watching my kids play, and taking naps. No problems what so ever. I do get asked about hammocking from time to time from interested people.
Same here. Got mine on the mail yesterday. Explorer Deluxe zip with hex tarp, with free cub for my son. 2 snake skin sets, and hh2o set.
Welcome from Salina, Ks. Lots of great info on here.
That's what I've always read, and use with good luck.
Ya, wondering about the weight rating myself with the single layer.
I was wondering the same thing. I Noticed a few things missing with tapatalk. And this is my main forum viewing format.
Getting away from work for lunch for a few minutes. Hung up the Double ENO/whoopie slings at a local park under a shelter from the sun. Now to not fall asleep and get back to work at a decent time....
I never used the factory ropes and biners. I installed WS right of the bat. They both arrived the same day. Love them. Easy to adjusted and weigh nothing. And it all fits in the stock eno pouch with...
Got rid of factor rope and biners for whoopies and poly tree huggers. Also adjustable ridge line which is a fixed ridge line now. Works great, lighter than factory and all still fits into stock ENO...
Interested it it all. Do you have any pictures you could post or pm me? How long have you had it?
I've seen those, and thought about doing the same. Or something similar.
Thanks for sharing! I'm hoping to get in some bike camping soon as well. When time allows and i get a few more supplies. I take my ENO double with me now about every time I'm out on the bike. You...
I removed my factory rope and biners. Ran slings through channels then through ridge line, then through its self. Fixed loop of course. Adjustable to the outside ends. And I can still fit all of it...
I've got my rideline attached on my ENO DN at the whoopies where it runs through the channels. Right on Enos site it has a length of 9'4" or 112". I've got mine set at 93" which is 83%. I'm 6'4" 245...
