As many times as I've been on that site, I've never seen that, Thanks!
Anyone have an idea on how to DIY a compression sack? I couldn't find any threads or posts that discusses this. Can anyone help me with this?
I got some of that too. Although I'm not sure the weight of it, but it's definitely the Digital Camo ripstop. I'm going to make me a UQ/TQ out of it. Got my Climashield ordered, just waiting for it...
Hey Paul, I just bought a bunch of stuff. When should I see the refund for the Memorial Day sale?
Awesome, that helps a lot, thanks gargoyle. What is a good length for each?
So I've looked over the instructions for the DIY KAQ many times but I'm having a difficult time understanding them. First of all I want to make it a little simpler so instead of cutting out darts I...
I just bought some from wallyworld too tonight. It came in on the $1 unknown shelf but i about crapped myself when i saw it. the crappy thing was i didnt buy the whole bolt, iLm going back tomorrow...
Awesome! I've been wanting to get an underquilt and a topquilt and a...the list goes on and on. Hey my birthday is coming up, maybe that will work. :D
Nevermind, I gotcha.
Where can I get more information about your peapod? And who/what is BER?
Can you show me how to splice a fixed eye?
Found it, nevermind.
Paul, I looked on your site but I can't seem to find your GG/yard. I must be blind. Can you point me in the right direction, please?
I like the idea of making an adjustable ridgeline similar to my whoopies. I'm going to try this, thanks!
So I'm wanting to try out a ridgeline because I like the concept of always having the same 'sag' in my hammock no matter where I hang it. But what I don't get is how to attach it to my hammock. Do...
I ordered it from Paul at http://arrowheadequipment.webs.com/apps/webstore/products/show/1076490 he's really quick. Amsteel is sweet!
Is this what I would use on the finished edges of a DIY tarp?

I just finished making my own Whoopie slings and I must say I'm very impressed. I was very easy. I set up my hammock in a couple of different places throughout the weekend. We had mother's day at a...
Thanks nacra, I'm looking forward to making some as soon as I get my amsteel.
I'm wondering what length of amsteel 7/64 I should use to make my own nacrabiners. I want them to be the same size as the ones pictured above in this post.
Gotcha, I've searched and I have found. I feel educated.
How do i use them? Do you have some pics for me?
I got my Amsteel and rings today, thanks! I was wondering about the nacrabiners. Are you sending those in a separate package? I'm anxious to know how to use them. Thanks again Paul for all your great...
So I got my Amsteel 7/64" today along with my aluminum rings, thanks Paul, and whipped up my own whoopie slings. It was sweet and easy! Paul can't wait to get those nacrabiners!
You'll have to fill me in on what a nacrabiner is and how to use it. Thanks again.
Thanks Paul!:) I can't wait to get em.
What do I connect them to? Do they connect right to the tree straps?
I agree. It's so nice to have such a place where I can get my questions answered quickly. I'm anxiously awaiting my amsteel to make my first set of whoopie slings!
Life is great.
That's great. Did you go to PGHS?
That was awesome! I was expecting it to be much harder. I can't wait to start making whoopie!
LOL!
When my wife asked me what I was watching on the computer I said, "I'm watching this guy make...
Awesome. I'll check that out. Thanks!
Thanks! Can't wait til I get my amsteel to try it out. I'm totally stoked. Thanks shug!
I'm going to as soon as I get my amsteel. I'm going to try both to see which I like most though.
Enlighten me; I don't understand the 'three turns around a ring'... Do you have any pics for me?
I'm from PG too and am also new to the hammock thing. I've made a DIY hammock and stuff sack. I've ordered some amsteel to make some whoopie sling suspensions. If there's any info I should know about...
Would it be difficult to use a larkshead with amsteel and a ring buckle support system?
PM headed your way.[/QUOTE]
Sorry, didn't mean turkshead but larkshead, sorry. Thanks for keeping me straight.
Okay Paul I went and did it. I ordered the amsteel from you as well as 2 pairs of rings. I'm way excited, thanks! How soon could I expect it? I'm in Utah.
I'm interested in doing a ring buckle system. Will the amsteel in a turkshead do alright? And how much for shipping from your sight? I would be getting one length of the amsteel (that's 25' right?)...
I have heard some say it's slippery too with the ring buckle system. That's why I wanted spyderline.
Some have said that the Amsteel is difficult to tie knots with, is that true?
And your store says it is out of stock, when will you be getting some more?
What are these whoopie slings everyone talks about? What are they used for?
So I need to 'up' my suspension idea. I've been asking around about ring buckle supports, ridgelines, etc. I am new to hammocking and want to learn about Spyderline. I want to get some, but want to...
I've just found some information on this Zing-it or Aircore Plus Spectra Rope that has a breaking weight of 1109lbs! That's crazy! I've been buying cheap rope and Walmart, hoping it would hold. When...
I'm new to the hammock craze, in fact I just completed my on DIY Hammock and stuff sack:D. But what I'm lacking in knowledge, and I'm so happy to find such a great place to find information, is the...
Okay. Do I decide how much tension? Isn't that why ridgelines are used to justify how much sag, right? Or am I totally off?
What's the best way to add a ridgeline?
As mentioned in my original post I was going to post some pics of my first hammock and stuff sack. Hope you enjoy them!
Some info about my hammock:
Size. 9'x5'
'W' gathering with whippings....
That's true. Which vendors do you suggest?
