I have the 4432, which operates the same way I believe, and never had such an issue. I would first make sure everything is setup right, as far as the bobbin placed in the machine, and threaded...

You can. I have used my hammock that way many times. I switched to a continuous loop that I ran through the gathered end and attached my whoopies to it so I could hang from the loops if I couldn’t...
I have one that I made at 11 ft long. It is a bit floppy with the extra width. I don’t really care for it. The length is good though for me. Happy Hanging!

I pretty sure it they don’t have a right side for any of the fabric you have. I know the HyperD doesn’t and I believe the silpoly is the same on both. You can double check this on RBTR’s website in...
Is this the top or bottom, as you stitch it? If top then top tension is too much. If bottom then top tension is too loose.
2nd junebugdawn rethread the machine, because if something slipped off it...

For a new machine any of the Singer 4400 Heavy Duty series work well. I myself have the 4432 because I scored it on Amazon daily deals. I like mine for the verity of stitches and the button hole...

This is for you. So I took your layout and Dutch's layout and combined them making Version 3.0.
I placed a tie out on each corner and center on the short and long sides. Then per...
I've made 4 each of TQ and UQ using Climashield. I lay my fabric on top of it and pin it. I sew with Climashield on bottom and fabric on top with presser foot on top of fabric. Never had an issue.

Got ya. Thank you.

So all the other tie outs are the same as Dutch's instructions with the addition of the center tie outs?

Can you post your tie out measurements and placements for me please? Just ordered this kit from Dutch and like your K.I.S.S. layout

How big should I make the triangles to form the square bottom?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Shell is 1.1 ripstop. Finished dimensions are approximately 78" x 48" that is both TQ & UQ.

I have a TQ and UQ I made using APEX 5. Does anyone have the dimensions for a stuff sack for such? I know I could figure this out using a pillow case or whatever, but I'm hoping someone has already...
I made this gallow for my Singer 401a out of a coat hanger. Bent one end over on itself and it fit right into one of the oil ports on top of the machine. Worked great....
I 2nd the google search. I have a 1952 Singer and was able to find just about everything to rebuild it if I needed too. Happy DIYing

I made one in about 6 hours +/- over two days. My biggest hold up was getting the right, in my mind, for the two lower inside tie out reinforcements.

If you place the two rows of stitching down only one row shows. I placed my down to have that one row showing.

I would really like to see some plans or patterns that someone has that made some Hammock Socks, aka Hammock Booties, aka Warm Hammock Feet, sense I have some leftover Climashield and ripstop.
