I've made 4 each of TQ and UQ using Climashield. I lay my fabric on top of it and pin it. I sew with Climashield on bottom and fabric on top with presser foot on top of fabric. Never had an issue.

I made this gallow for my Singer 401a out of a coat hanger. Bent one end over on itself and it fit right into one of the oil ports on top of the machine. Worked great....

I 2nd the google search. I have a 1952 Singer and was able to find just about everything to rebuild it if I needed too. Happy DIYing

I made one in about 6 hours +/- over two days. My biggest hold up was getting the right, in my mind, for the two lower inside tie out reinforcements.
