Here is a link to the OR ultralight dry sacks, they have two or three heavier duty models as well. Plus there is lots of sea-kayaking products out there in that market.
...
Check out the OR Ultralight Dry Sack, I like the 10 liter for the 20 and 40 deg quilts, and the 15 liter for the zero degree quilts. Or you could put two smaller quilts in one 15 liter.
They can be...
Down has been the superior fill for over 40 years, for anything you want small enough to fit in a pack. For car camping, synthetic is fine, as you don't have the space constraint.
Worrying about...
Going to the ground would tend to revise ones perspective. I've said it before, I'd sooner put my dingus in a beehive, than attempt sleep on the ground.
I've never been able to get a 40 deg UQ to work at 40, let alone 25. But my 40 deg top quilt works fine in the mid 20's.
If I keep hitting the pecan pie, I won't have any slack to worry about.
Thanks, I forgot to check back on this thread again. Those would work, I can't tell if they are oval. I noticed a while back my patagonia rain pants have really nice oval cord lock, I wish they had...
I'd hit that dumpster. My closest REI is in a neighborhood where there will already be people in the dumpster, not related to the sale.
I have both, although my Explorer is the deluxe. I agree with the simplicity of a Hennessy with stock tarp. Those ropes drive me nuts though, I wish they came with adjustable webbing. Like them both...
Sounds like good neighbors. I was once digging dirt from an embankment, and I would work like crazy, then I got so tired I just kinda fell over on the ground to rest. A neighbor saw me go down and...
Nevada has tons of trees, most of these reports are from people who don't leave the interstate. Even in the midst of the Great Basin you will find a few juniper trees around any feature that collects...
Let me add #4, it's easier for the seller to hit a button and print a label.
And #5, there is no way the address can be messed up.
Congrats on the mother in law.

Here is Marmots sizing chart,...

They call it a 37-39 waist, and that is about right. I wear a 40 and these fit fine in that respect. I ended...
New Precip Rain Pants, size XL short 30" inseam. Only tried on indoors. Hang tags included. This is the ankle zip model, not the full zip.
Also including one of my Esbit adapters, universal model to...
Sold to SnrMoment. Ships in the morning.
Thanks!
Yeah I messed up, should've went with a 2XL. BTW in the photo it looks like a spot on the pullover, it's not the pullover but something on the lens.
New Sierra Designs Numbskull Pullover, Mens Large, Note they call it an XL but it is closer to a Large. Last years model that REI was blowing out, retail was $119. Very nice wind shell but does not...
It's worth going back for the Dutch Clip alone. I either use Shug's method, or sometimes I toss them over to where my peg stuff sack is, either way, I do that first.
My gear room is starting look like a cross between the Beverly Hillbilly's and the show Hoarding. Time for another clean up.
Get a Top Quilt, and a lighter/shorter Under Quilt, and swap the Neo for a torso length EVA foam pad, then you have backup for ground or hanging.
My Patagonia Traverse and Integral pants have a drawstring waist, and I guess people are putting in a cord lock so you don't have to tie it off. There must be some type of low profile cord lock...
Right next to me.

I avoid anything super light, but having said that, I think Loner was using one of those, and it nearly made the whole AT.
No doubt the storm shield is the problem, they are a neat idea, but not for those temps and humidity. I don't even use a tarp unless I know for sure rain is likely, and I have barely seen any...
Let's compare two common set ups. Warbonnet Blackbird 1.7 single with Edge tarp, about 34 ounces, compare to a Tarptent Moment @ 30 ounces, add 4-6 ounces for a ground cloth for the tent and it's a...
Some of us have had them into the mid 20's no problem. Mine has more loft than my old Ultra 20, and the Ultra 20 was regarded by some as more of 30 degree quilt.
You can go a little bit lighter on the ground, and have a small tarptent, solo mid etc. And suffer all the condensation and being on the hard ground. For me it's lighter in a hammock as the amount of...
You'd have to be a circus acrobat to wiggle into a sleeping bag, while staying on a pad. In fact we have a circus acrobat here who even refuses to do that. Get a under quilt and top quilt, and...
That's good to know, I like heavy duty stuff as my dog sleeps in my hammock. I'll select that when I order a Dangerbird one of these days.
At least being a double it probably won't rip. Maybe sew another piece over that, and have a hammock that you are not worried about abusing.
I thought my Hennessey Expedition was snug as a bug, but I sold it as the netting was too close, and sometimes I would wake up with mosquitoes chewing my face off.
Mine came up both, without a code. I think you have to start checkout to get the price.
I can't believe how many people swing all night with their butt dragging on the ground.
Too many parts, my Warbonnet suspension comes off in one piece.
This will be my cheapest hammock yet, $11.69.
My BB and Hennesseys both work better with the ridgeline on the loose side.
Is a table cloth strong enough for 250 pounds? what is this crinkle taffeta equivalent to in weight, 1.7 1.9 etc?
The 1 season down quilt comes with a 6" X 12" stuff sack, it fits it pretty good and can be made smaller. I actually use a larger dry bag style sack, a 10 liter OR dry sack. It is larger than the...
If you are looking for a white gas type stove for winter use, another option is the Coleman Peak 1. Really not much if any heavier as the tank is on the stove. I think you can get new for $60-$80, or...
I wonder if the newer Go Lite Quest in the larger sizes can hold a bear can. I have a older Quest that is bigger and lighter than my Catalyst. The Catalyst is short and wide, the Quest is taller and...
I have one set aside for a light set-up. I have never used it, but did lay it and the stock Hennessey asym expedition fly out together. It was slightly larger than the stock Hennessey fly. Should be...
I recall $149 being the previous low for my three season. I do remember paying around $124 for my 1 season but I can't remember if that was after a coupon deal, and shipping was extra. I don't think...

20 deg Incubator.
Took me two years to complete the process of getting my hammock gear in order. I'm set now, but of course will buy the occasional item. If I had it to do over, it would only take a few minutes to buy...
Just noticed that price , don't wait they always sell out.
Mines been to the mid 20's, the new 1 season quilts are closer to a 3 season.
All you need to look at are the advantages, because there no disadvantages to a top quilt. It's not a apple/orange comparison, it's a apple/turd comparison.
