Thanks for the up date. Sure hope I am able to make the April WrkNhang..
Hope to make it this year.
I'm looking forward to moving to the NNK and finding new hangs. So far I've only done MAHHA Pine Grove and NOVA hangs (Bull Run and PWNF). See you in the spring.
Sounds good.
I'll be moving in March and on travel in early April. Late April should work for me.
There is a thread on Central VA. https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/showthread.php?t=101862
Maybe an hour up RT 3 from Kilmarnock. Hope to meet at the May Central VA hang
Any Hangers in Northern or Middle Neck area?
I will keep May in mind.
I'm interested in joining. Currently in NOVA but moving to the Northern Neck in the Spring.
Good to know. Thanks for the update..
Welcome from NOVA & part time NNK.
Welcome new joiners, ask questions and it doesn't take long.
Welcome from Reston.
My son is thinking about it. Too bad I just bought one at full price.
Donna (ZQ) fixed my HH. The tear was actually where the bug net joined the nylon. It happens sometimes.
Another welcome from NOVA. I only have three hammocks.. My son has passed seven that I know about.
+1 on knot free. I speak from a sudden crashing experience.
Yep. I changed mine
Small world. ASM and hammock camping. Two things we have in common. Bull Run regional park allows hammocks and is close by.
Good to see another NOVA Hanger. Several of us will be heading up the MAHHA (Mid Atlantic Hammock Hangers Association) next month. Come on up. We also do a NOVA hang in PWF in the Fall.
I'd be interested in a Richmond area hang, if you get one going.
Mine are kept in an old plastic mailing bag that something came in.
Welcome from NOVA. There is a VA paddle and hang in the planning. Don't have the thread but sure you can find it.
I've thought about it but never came with any idea on how to do it.
I had Whoopies on my HH. Got a WBBB with Web and buckles. Love it. Had Brandon make up a set for my HH and replaced the whoopies. Easy to use and adjust.
I bought mine for sitting around the fire http://youtu.be/Ni7a6BVhYZM
Had mine hanging outside for three days. Smell almost all gone.
Washed it, put in dryer no heat, hung it outside today, most of the smell is gone and its a lot softer. Back out tomorrow for another day in the air.
Good to know. Mine is outside right now. Wife suggested running it through the dryer with som fabrez.
Arrived. Looks good and is hanging outside to get rid of mothball smell.
Mine is due to arrive today. Will post.
Welcome. Looking forward to pictures. The HH Explorer was my first hammock and still is my go to hang, most of the time. I've modified it extensively, suspension and added zippers. Enjoy the...
I started with an HH Explorer. Had ZQ zipper mod #4 and it really made it nice. Then I got a WBBB Double. Love it as well and switch back and forth. Added a WB Super Fly to my kit. It really...
I ordered the Insulated version.
Should be plenty left at this time.
Just placed an order. Price appears to be too good. We'll see.
Timely thread. I've been thinking about getting wool blanket for the hammock and sitting around the fire.
I'd like hear how the Static V works. I just ordered one from REI for my WBBB.
So have I. Also, Brandon installed a tripple zipper in mine so I could use an external power source and run the cord in the top from outside.
Hello from NOVA
Need bigger, consider ENO Double Nest with Bugnet. I have an HH, WBBB, and ENO DN. The ENO is hands down the most comfortable and roomy of the three. Should be good FL.
Welcome from Northern VA and part time from the Northern Neck. Hope to meet at a group hang someday.
Yes it does. Thanks.
Anyone know how it compares with Big Agnes insulated pad? Klymit is R4 Big Agnes doesn't say.
I just ran across the static V doing a web search and am thinking of getting one for my WBBB DBL.Looks like good option. Add. Bubble pad and should be good to 20 or below. Thoughts?
On the back of iPad Mini
Great ideas. I really like the detachable RL idea.
