I got a new digital scale yesterday and put the ridge light on it. came it at 8 grams with the battery but without drawstring and cord lock.

After a little more thought, if you went with a spreader bar design instead you could use something much smaller.

3" heavywall steel pipe is rediculously overkill for this. The issue mostly is rigidity as the load is very spread out across the bar. 2"x2"x1/4" steel square tube should be easily enough for this.

So, a while ago I had an idea for a small stuff sack that had sewable LEDs and a sewable coin battery holder with a switch sewn around the outside of it to use as an ultra light, low powered lantern...

The trick with trout is to use an old tooth brush to scrub out the blood sack at the back of the spine, this gets rid of most of the bitter and fishy taste, You could also bake them in a dutch oven....
