Thanks Meckelangelo!!
what pattern did you use? That is one of the nicer DIY hammocks i've seen! Nice work!
I use straps and cinch buckles. super quick set up and easy adjustments if necessary. Not the lightest but super simple.
My sleeping bag, which I use as a top quilt and my underquilt both fit in the sleeping bag compartment of my backpack. Hammock and rainfly go in my pack at the top so I can set up my fly quickly if...
Clark vertex gets my vote. Cost will definitely be a consideration on this hammock though.
I'm in!!!!
I use an underquilt on my nx-150. I still put items in the pockets. it does make a little space between the uq an the bottom of the hammock but not enough to create a cold spot.
I bought my underquilt from another member of the forum. He included a system called "triangle thingies" with it. They work great and I will continue to use them!
Like most of the hangers here, I use straps on the trees. Very little added weight for the tree protection they provide. Hang on!!
I used a pad in my clark for a couple of years before I bought an underquilt. Make a segemented pad extender so you can keep your arms warm and you will be good to go!
I'd have been dead in the air without all the help from the cool members of this forum!!
i found that in my clark nx-150 hanging the foot end higher than the head end helped. so did adjusting the strap angle from the trees i was hanging from. I don't hang it as tight as i used to. It's...
I'm in too!!
I believe the superfly now has the doors attached. I have the old model with doors that must be attached. Wish I had the new model. Its an awsome tarp!
I used to us a ridgerest pad and a self inflating pad together. That combo took me into single digit temps no problem. But using a pad does eliminate some of the benefits of sleeping in a hammock. I...
I live in Salt lake as well!! I use my hammock all year if I'm by myself. Its a clark nx-150 with a warbonnet superfly. I use a JRB mt washington 4 underquilt and have been down to zero degrees with...
My tarp in light grey and lets in just the right amount of sun in the morning! Enjoy!!
I sleep with my head towards which ever side I'm getting in and out of my hammock from. I have a clark nx-150 and love being able to get in and out on either side. I like hanging on hillsides too,...
I asked about shock corded poles last week and they can't produce poles that will creat the proper arch. Bummer!!
Hi all! I use individual tie outs on each end of my superfly. Figure 9's make is super easy to hang it nice and tight. They also make it easy to adjust where my tarp is in relation to my hammock.
Hi all,
Anyone out there try making snakeskins for their hammock that would fit the underquilt while still attached and their top quilt inside the hammock? Is there anything commercially available?...
I bought a tarp from Warbonnet. Sets up easy stays tight and is waterproof. Also it is plenty big to cover my hammock and any gear that I have with me.
Hi Guys. I use a Mt Washington 4 from JRB on my nx150. It fits like a glove and I have used it down to single digit temps with no problems at all. Its easy to attach and stays put during the night.
I use a JRB Mt. Washington 4. Fits my Clark NX-150 perfectly. vents well in warm weather, and cinches up tight in freezing weather. Perfect addition to my Clark
Hi guys! I have a JRB Mt. Washington 4 uq, and it fits my nx-150 like a glove! super comfy and warm too. I can still use the pockets to keep my shoes in no problem. I haven't filled the pockets up...
Hi,
First thing I changed on my nx-150 was the suspension. I changed it to a strap/cinch buckle like the Warbonnet Blackbird. Sets up in less than a minute now!
Superfly all the way for me! Not too heavy for its size, and simple to set up with figure 9's. Once its pitched it stays tight all night with no flapping and plenty of room underneath.
Just my...
I have a Clark nx-150. I use a Mt. Washington 4 uq from JRB. I love it. Packs small, not too heavy and super warm. It also fits just right under my hammock.
I use them for my tarp and love them! Super quick set up and tension adjustment for hardly any weight! Perfect!!
Nice Work!! I'm jealous, and can't wait to see it finished!!
Hi guys! I love my warbonnet super fly! Easy to set up, packs small for the coverage you get. Love it!
I'm in!!!!!!!
I used a pad in my clark nx-150 for a couple of years before switching to an underquilt. In the clark it doesn't have much room to move, so it always stayed in the right place.
A cheap blue foam pad from walmart will do the trick nicely!
I finally tried using an angle closer to 30 degrees and in my clark nx-150 it was WAY more comfortable than when I tried to hang it tighter.
That helped a TON!!!! Thanks guys!!
Hi all! I just bought a JRB MT. Washington IV underquilt. I've never used an underquilt before and could use some help hanging if from my Clark NX-150. I do have the triangle thingies that came with...
Not tarp, will the underquilt fit the clark nx 150?
Scotty
one more question I forgot to ask! Will this tarp fit a clark nx 150?
Scotty
If you've still got the underquilt how would you like me to pay for it?
scotty
thanks guys!! Those are the ones i was looking for!
Hi everyone! I saw a sleeping pad sleeve with slots for ccf pads that would insulate my arms while sleeping in my hammock. I have a clark nx 150 and love it! My arms do get cold. Anyone know where I...
Hi
Do you still have the clark uq or the jrb hudson river? did you use the hudson river on the clark? I have the nx 150. would the jrb quilt fit?
thanks,
Scott
Hi
I could go as high as $300 if you don't get a better offer.
Is it the universal model?
Scotty McCloy
Do you still have this uq?
Scottymac

I love hanging. I even use my clark nx 150 in my basement occasionally.
Nothing quite like living below sea...
hey all,
has anyone used bluewater's titan cord for this suspension?
Hi
Do you still have this? I'd like to buy if you do!
Thanks,
Scottymac

I just got a warbonnet blackbird double 1.7 with the webbing suspension. My wife likes the lay of her clark better so I would be willing to sell this to you for what I paid. $170 shipping...
Hey guys,
i want to change the suspension on my Clark nx 150 to this bb type carabiner webbing suspension. Anyone know where I can get buckles like the new warbonnet buckles?
My blackbird has the...
