Like Brandon, I also use zing-it for my tarp guylines, and have not really experienced any problems with knots slipping so far. I've even been able to tie tautline hitches with no sign of slippage. ...

For what it's worth, I would be interested in upgrading to the new buckles as well. On the other hand, it might be worth waiting until Brandon finishes the new custom buckles he is working on...

One thing you might want to try is to reach into the shelf with your left hand instead of your right. I find that that it's much easier to get all the way to the bottom of the shelf if I use my left...

Assuming that your wife is willing to convert to a hammock as well, it seems to me that it would be easy to detach the headboard and use it for something else.

Ditto. I actually think it's easier to change pants, longjohns, etc. lying in the hammock than standing on the ground since I don't have to bother about getting in and out of my shoes.
