Yeah I wish I didnt forget my camera too. Little riddled and I got lost on the way out. So that added to our time of leaving. We were the first gone and last out lol.
Both my son and I enjoyed ourselves, it was great meeting everyone. Thank you for having us and showing us the ropes
I have gotten to feeling a bit better and will be at Pats Island with my son Saturday in the am. At least I can get in an overnighter and meet everyone.
Well guys, I hate to do this last minute but I have to back out. I have gotten sick. Running a temp, and my throat is killing me. I will see ya'll next time though promise.
I am relatively new myself and don't have the answers to your questions. I just wanted to wish you a safe journey on your trip. Sounds awesome.
Not a problem BearBurrito. I will be there when you get there and look forward to meeting you at the camp.
Why I sure would. Sending you a pm to get everything set up
Here is an idea I know it is more than 200 but not by much. http://www.eaglesnestoutfittersinc.com/product/ONLK-SH.html
Someone had a blaze orange hammock for sale recently. I can't remember who though
Excellent video. I have been cinching mine too tight. Thanks for the help. That is why that one shoulder would get cold. Tried it and loosened it up now I have better coverage. Thanks a bunch.
That would be good lilricky. I wouldn't even mind high 50s
So about when is everyone going to start arriving. I am planning on leaving at 7:30 a.m. on that friday. I have about a 3 hour drive because I am coming from "Jawja". So if I don't get lost or...
As I have mentioned before, I am a total noob at this. Other than a few solo overnighters this will be my first trip. So I already have a question for the more experienced folk that are going on...
If I am not mistaken the size of the triangle thingy depends on whether your underquilt is full length or 3/4 length
Simply Light Designs makes a cat cut hammock. You can see it here. http://simplylightdesigns.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/22_26_55/products_id/133. Gonna be getting on on the first of...
Thanks FLRider. That is most helpful as well
Thanks Floridahanger, that will be helpful when I am getting myself situated down there.
Shortcut? There is a shortcut? I might need a map of the area.
Hey FLRider,
I just watched your video for the last gasp hang last year. Are you going to have the same DIY setup this year? I'd like to get a closer look at that.
I love to use a wool blanket when I am car camping or setting up in the back yard. But when backpacking it is uq/tq time.
I have no problem with a pad in my DL 1.7 BB. This is the pad I am using: http://www.jacksrbetter.com/shop/torso-pad/
I'm in. Thank you.
Wow, thanks folks, glad ya'll are there if I need it. Really means a lot. I will take your word for it about the weight and I will be there. This will be my first group hang, so go easy.
Thanks for taking on extra for the rest of us.
I "technically" have everything I need. But in my noob haste to buy everything I didn't pay attention to weight. So I am expecting some lighter weight stuff. I just have to decide if I want to do...
I might can make this trip. Write me in pencil. I still have gear I need to get. Depends on if it gets here in time:scared:. Maybe if I do get to go I can get some advice from some of the more...
Yes I did. I had a lot of excess material. Some have suggested a knotty mod to take care of it. I just filed it away lol
I went to Suwannee River State park in Live Oak, Fl yesterday, to look into hammock camping on the Big Oak Trail. The park staff told me that hammock camping is not allowed in the park or on the...
Looks good I'm in.
Set your suspension at a 30 degree angle.
Hmm I don't have a center ridge in mine. Are you using whoopies or stock suspension? I am using whoopies and tree straps.
The frontline is a nice hammock. Hope you enjoy it.
Hammock looks nice and big. I already have the jarbidge river underquilt. I just need to get that hammock lol.
Welcome from south Georgia.
Welcome from Quitman, GA
I have a superfly. I like to have a little privacy, and my own area. It packs down just fine for my needs. Also I like the attached doors I can use in bad weather, and can tie back when not needed
That is one good looking dangerbird there. I want one to go with the wbbb. Oh and happy birthday
Never have tried it but maybe a good idea. I may give it a go.
I chose the 3/4 20*, because of the weight savings plus I live in the deep south so I don't need anything lower
I might have to get some of these soon
I just got my Jarbridge in earlier this week and I love it. Thank you Mr Gibson
Nice tutorial. I made a tablecloth hammock with the bigger tablecloth. I may need to try the smaller one.
I ordered a Warbonnet blackbird hammock, and superfly tarp around Sept. 14 and it didn't get to me until mid to late October. Well worth the wait. Just saying sometimes he may get behind. But...
I ordered a three season Jarbidge yesterday, and I can't wait.
I own two bliss hammocks and a bliss skytent. Both hammocks are very comfortable. I think you will enjoy it.
I have never heard of your company before but since I am shopping for an underquilt and a topquilt I might have to give you a good look. A two day shipping time is awesome. When you do get top...
