Thank you for sharing your pictures. I lived in Aix as a boy. I have fond memories of that part of the world. I especially liked the area around Nice. Your pictures brought me right back to that time.
Thanks for the pictures. They are awesome!

Wish I could have made it. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the summer hang.
I'm bummed. But they stuck needles in my eye AGAIN today and just wasn't up to to the drive. Please take pictures. I miss you guys.
Love it. Reminds me of those 3rd grade science films/slideshows.
I'm planning to drive down... If Coil doesn't get me killed on Mazama ridge or Reflections Lake the weekend. He mentioned something about practicing crevasse rescues? :scared:
I was bummed to miss this hang... But after looking at the photos and videos, maybe I lucked out :-P
I do most of my hanging a little north of you along the I90 corridor or the middle forks river. Both are open during the shutdown. I am not sure about Mt Rainier. Lots of great spots. I'm just not...
I've done the layered sleeping bag thing before (not in hammocks). It worked well in 0* + Oklahoma wind. The only issue I had was the extra wight to hump. One thing you have to make sure is that the...
I can't leave until 5:PM. By the time we get there it should be dark. I don't mind hiking by headlight, I kind of like it. But I do need to know where I am going. :-)

I don't think Coil and I can leave Seattle until Saturday morning.
I'm planning on going.
I just used acrylic paint on my tyvek tarp. I think acrylic silk screen would have used less paint.

Ya I got back in to camping because it was..."Cheap". Well at least cheaper than sailing. After hammock(s), Tarp(s), UQ, and TQ I may have to redefine cheap. :scared:
Where was that? It looked like it was near that the beach by Anderson. I forgot the name.
Also have you hit Paget or Marbo caves yet? I seem to remember both places had some good places to hang...
Translation: "I want to go to Ikea and I know just how to bait you."
I believe she has a clear Freebird by Warbonnet. I don't think he sells them anymore. He has issue sourceing the material. I have also heard that the meta-material is really heavy.
Here is the...
Taylor river /middle fork river by North Bend has some good spots to get away from the crowds. It's low enough the snow melts quickly. Green Water is also a supposed to be a good spot in the winter....
Looks like a great trip.
I have a Native American flute made out of PVC. It very light and durable.
You never hear me play it around people because I suck. But it's a lot of fun to play. It also makes a great beastie be...

The question is who has the video of us all eating canned brains?
That was Frog Lake. We camped right next to in in the tree line.
It was a blast. The comradery was great. The views were to die for. I am very grateful that we did not go back to glissading after we started drinking. I really did not want my last words to be "Hold...
I wanted to follow up my earlier post and give kudos where kudos are due. Brandon knew I had a hang this weekend and made sure I had my tarp in time. Now that I have hung under it for a few days I am...
I can bring 3-2 bundles.
Food, what about food? Are we going to do a pot luck sort of thing? Or, is everyone bringing their own meals?

From reading everyone's reply's. I'm going to chalk it up to bad luck and timing on my part. I am glad to know I am not the only one. I am also glad to know it's not a common issue.
Am I the only one to have shipping issues with Warbonnet? All I see are post about how quick and responsive Brandon is. This is the second time I have ordered from him. Both times the orders have...
Bummer man I was looking forward to seeing you again... and that new tarp.
