id say your best bet would be something DIY or you could try to mod another quilt so that it can be equipped sideways?

no according to the Seminole State page on the forestry site lower Wekiva is on the other side of the river than Katie's Landing but this place was on the same side but i could be mistaken i suppose...

pretty nice. even if you just switched to the hammock and tarp instead of your tent setup you'll still be saving ~3lbs which would be a pretty good starting point

yes florida is doing a pilot program that goes through mid 2013 for us to hang in state parks

i just make sure the tarp is past the hammock and tie the rope to hang from the suspension like you said, haven't had a real problem

yeah i wouldnt worry about any gators unless you really decide to go swimming at night time for some reason. id worry more about the snakes that can get you anywhere you go, in the water, hanging in...
