Going to do my best to make it
I made my self a pad similar to what your describing by gluing cheap space blanket to 1/16th inch CCF sold by ULINE if I remember right as a shipping material. I cut this into something sort of...
Sounds like fun. What days are you thinking?
I was having the same problem last summer as I experimented with my WBB. I have not field tested this yet but I put small zip tie on head end of bishop bag and on caribiner I have for head end. in...
just sit right back
And you'll hear a tale
A tale of a fateful Hang,
That started with this DIY hammock,
made from this cheap nylon.
The suspension was a woopie sling,
made from amsteal strong...
Hammock as total sleep/shelter package! top and bottom insulation, bug screen and rain fly all in one with built in added space for gear storage. All of that plus lets throw in automatic spider silk...
Got my hammock in the mail yesterday. WBB 1.1 DL with adj. webbing and a mamajamba tarp. haven't taken it out of stuff sack yet. maybe this weekend.

I agree he should update website. This is what I read on his website;
"Items normally ship in approximately 1

backordered items will normally ship
within 3 weeks."...
Sounds Good Gary_R.
Sounds like a nice piece of property. Is it high enough to not be in tsunami danger?
How large of a hammock camp you plan on making?
Place like that I'd be looking for nice spot right over the...
Why would they have problem with hammock camping? seems to me its less environmental impact then a tent.
Welcome from Washington
Welcome aboard from a navy vet from WA. Served on USS SARATOGA CV-60 from 1984-1987.
now your worrying me I ordered my wbb 1.1 dl on the 19th thinking 2 weeks is long time to wait but 3 weeks! and you only just got shipping notice:scared:
I may have to brew some ale to help with...
Mamajamba is what I ordered last week. here in the Pacific Northwest we tend to get a little rain. Mamajamba seemed like best compromise for coverage and weight.
If I had only made up my mind at the start of the month. Then I would have hammock for this weekend, But there was so much to research and learn.
I'd like to say thanks to all the past and present mods. This site is PRICELESS source of information.
Just an update:
As much as I thought I wanted the Hennessy DJ, I ended up order WBB 1.1 double Layer, and the Mamajamba tarp on the 19th. now I am eagerly waiting....and waiting.

Welcome from Washington! Can you post some pictures of your frame and Hammock?
Welcome from Washington. Always wanted to go to Thailand. Closest I got was Singapore when I was in the Navy.

Big Dave, I'm also interested in your gear list for 2 to 3 nights. My love of dark heavy ales and lack of exercise these last 20 years has not exactly left me with the build and...
Welcome from Western WA.
Welcome from Western WA
This sounds like it would be great place for meat and greet and compare systems type of a hang for NW hangers if you really don't mind a tone of hammocks and possibly a tent or two on your property...
Placed my order on the 19th.
How small does that slug of yours pack into?
I was planning on ordering bulk 2 or 3 yard chunk of 60" by 3/8" closed cell foam from http://www.a1foamandfabrics.com/, or a local upholstery/foam store and cutting to shape. That way I can start...
I was sure that I wanted the Hennessy Deep Jungle and still think I would like to try it:confused:, but after reading lots and lots of threads here and reviews on the web, watching Videos on YouTube...
Been looking over Topo maps of the aria and I just don't think I'm going to be in that kind of shape that soon.:(
Packwood lake is probably more my speed right now.
Maybe by then could tackle...
not familiar with the Goat rocks. How challenging of a hike are you thinking? I'm very out of shape and just getting back into backpacking after almost 20 years of constant back pain and sciatica.
Actually I think I had too much ale when I found the string and thunk it was for this year. Feel sort of silly now!
Aside from that surly something must be done this year. After all I plan on...

weekend of august 25th is bad for me. I think I can deal with any other weekend in july or august.
:DCool A WA hang! I want in if schedule permits. Not sure I'm in shape for a very long hike into camp:(. I do have some Family obligations in August but can't remember dates right now. I'll...
Sargevining I bet you could take a used up cartridge cut out the filter pad part and get a little more air flow. Seems a more practical option then CPU fan. Especially if you can get two nights out...
cpu case fans are 12 volt dc fans. They will run off a 9V battery sligtly slower then normal but your only going to get a few hours of battery life. 8 AAA or c cell batterys might give you eight...
:eek:I like gear that is multipurpose. But when a piece of gear tries to be too many things at ounce it usually ends up not doing anything well....
Isn't the DJ XL same size as the EXPL & EXPL UL?
Thanks for the input Ftroop94. what makes the WBBB 1.1 DL more comfy for you?
pulsemod:
At 6'4" your 6" taller then I am and from what I read on HH website too tall for all but the Explorer, DJ XL, and safari. As to bottom entry the DJ & DJ xl that I am considering both have...
