    New Sock, Need suggestions

I finally talked my wife into doing some Hammock camping. 'Talked' may not really be a good word for what I did. All my talking was to no avail. Setting up the hammock and letting her settle in to it...

    E.A.Y.

I'll have to consider that. I've not got any DIY skills or equipment ATM, but I am seriously considering asking dad to dig up mom's old sewing machine, so who knows.

    Gunner,
I got the Thingies designed for a full sized quilt. But that would be the first place to start.

    E.A.Y.
I might look into some kinda quilt-to-hammock tab arrangement. You are reading...

That's how I tried setting it up initially. However, even with max tension on the Thingies the quilt was a sagmaster. Maybe it's because of the quilt is a long?

    Edit: Almost forgot, Thank you!
  8. Triangle Thingies... I'm not sure I understand

I was having a nasty time taking care of CBS with my long New River. The problem has been keeping the quilt from sagging away from my butt. So I ordered up some triangle thingies and set them up...

    Warbonnetguy,

Thanks for the heads up on those things. I'll keep an eye while I do my experimentation. Maybe a bit of shock cord on a bottom pullout will be necessary for "EXTREME SOCKING!"...

    1) Yes a tarp would help, but not tarping up in fair weather is one of the things I love about the sock. Guess I am getting a little greedy. :D

Paracord, its good cheap cordage but:
    1) It stretches
    2) It soaks up water

I'd never use it for ridges or tie-outs because of its stretch. Have in the past, regretted it every time.
    I'll still...
