I found that to be true too with the hang time hook. Replace the bug net tieout with thicker shock cord with a lineloc and mittenhook and it’ll take the weight once you cinch it up a bit. Doesn’t...

The gaps are going to be where the cat curve is on the sides of the RR. I clip the primary suspension of the Incubator to the buckles of the RR to snug it up to the hammock bottom and the secondary...
Nice collection! That's a sweet blue!! If you ever get tired of it...
Thanks guys-nice pics! The two greens are both nice. The dark foliage looks like a unique blend of muted green and brown that's quite pleasing. Keep em coming - really want to see the purple or that...
I'm purchasing a second RR and wanted to try the Dream Tex fabric. Can anyone post pics of the color that you have? I feel like they come out way darker on Brandon's site (being "photoshopped") and...
Looking for a dual layer RR with bugnet, preferably with Dream Tex fabric. Thanks!
bump.......
Looking to buy a 20 degree HG Incubator. Regular length with the most current suspension and draft collars. Would prefer black or green outer but let me know what you have.
Thanks!
Funds sent for the tarp
Ill take the MambaJamba
I use an Xtherm and its great. I prefer the pad in the summer and the UQ in the winter as I like to lay on my side against the side walls of the RR. In the summer this vents quite nicely but in the...
I use my camp stool to get my feet off the ground. It takes the pressure off the side of the hammock and gives you something to rock back and forth on. Very comfortable., considering.
Looks like a fine quilt! With the cat cuts it really takes a lot of the area out leaving you with a much lighter quilt than expected. I stacked two layers of 5 oz in mine and still was pleased with...
Can't comment on the xite but the xtherm will actually help your shoulder squeeze. You will lay higher up from the bottom of the hammock and the extra inches gives you a quite a bit more room. No...
Since the Xtherm adds a few inches of height, it evens out any shoulder squeeze you might get from removing the middle spreader bar. It's actually quite roomier IMO.
No problem. The first time I tried it, I left the middle section of the spreader bar in and I sat (for my taste) way too high in the hammock and it had a "recliner" feel to it. Wasn't a fan of that...
I used an xtherm with a Ridgerunner last night. If you are using the same hammock try leaving out the middle section of the head spreader bar. It will stabilize everything. Hanging at a slightly...
Thermarest xterm large. Horizontal air chambers. Take the middle head end bar out and you're good to go. I find it more comfortable than using an UQ. Super warm. Deflate till you hit that sweet spot.
I use my sewn end 20 on a pad often as my daughter still prefers the tent or if I'm missing the outdoors while sleeping on a couch. Haven't ever wished it would convert to blanket mode. Blankets...
whmoller has great points. I can't seem to leave the RR at home. Hiked 50 miles of the 100 mile wilderness in Maine this summer as well as the Pemi Loop in the Whites and carried all the extra...
Topless+netless+Ridge Runner+summer+no moon=AWESOME
Front Royal. mmmmmmmmmm Spelunkers. Thanks for making me crave one of their burgers.
I do treat my clothes. I treat my hammocks for ticks and other biting beasts. Also the annoying flyby's of the mossies are drastically reduced when I'm trying to sleep or just chillin. But, as always...
I think 8 oz might be a bit strong there. I use 1 oz per gallon and I do well with that. Have you washed your hammocks after treating? There is a petroleum product in the 10% stuff that has an...
Add myself to the list of "Shug Educated", but if you keep going, you will find that 'Ol Shug of the Shug-Shuggity-Shug simply guards the "rabbit hole" and you can go as deep as you want. The list...
I tried a large X-Therm pad in my RR this year and found that I really enjoy the lay it provides. Take the middle spreader bar out of the head end and you're good to go. Side sleep, fetal, back -...
I've just made a new hammock out of the extra wide polyD from ripstopbytheroll. While not quite as professional looking as the current offerings from the top vendors, it is very comfortable and the...
Left my Superfly (thinner sil-ny) up in porch mode during an overnight storm and had a large puddle in the morning. No worries there. Also have the HEX and theres no way a puddle is ruining that...
For all you new hangers, GRAB AT LEAST ONE Jarbidge at this price!! Got two last year to get things going and NEVER regretted it. They just work. Really well. Down to low temps. Even if you...

What a great first forest hang. There will never be another hang quite like that. Jealous in PA with my short rounded stumpy weed-choked humid gnatty hills.
Thank you. Count me in! Congrats on the 50 and best of luck with the sales.
Even if hanging indoors, any top insulation warmer than your bottom insulation will cause you to feel colder on the bottom whatever the rating. At least this has been my experience. Always go lower...
I recently purchased a Thermarest X-Therm and it's so nice in the RR. I take the 4" extension tube out as the pad wants to sit up "recliner style" with it in. I also find that partially deflating...
Interesting.. I asked too and they said sure. Even woke up next to a bear looking at me. This was in the dog friendly loop and not the main loop. Maybe that was the difference. They did tell me...
I hammock camped there in October. They had absolutely no problem with it at all.
Love it. Was up there doing the Cherry Run trail back in February and saw a group coming up from the falls trail with ice axes. Wished I could have gone down there but no such gear for me so I was...

I'll take the Xtherm.
Funds received. OHM is SOLD. Thanks mods.
Sold to Tubleeweed pending funds. Matty had seconds.
Classic green/black OHM 2 for sale. LG torso MED hipbelt. J straps. Purchased in August and used for a handful of outings. Just day hikes & single night over nighters in the fall. Excellent shape-no...
Check out Arrowhead Equipment's Jarbidge UQ. It uses APEX 6oz./yard insulation and is good to temps in the 20's. I made a 10oz/yrd APEX UQ and I have gone to the teens with plenty to spare....
If you are pretty good at making things, an APEX UQ is very easy to make. Much better than using a pad IMHO. You will find the secret to a great hang is getting the lower insulation right.
Welcome, also from Williamsport. If you need any help shoot me a pm. Always looking to get out on the LT.
Did I hear her right? My 8 y/o daughter's name is Alanna! Maybe they can "hang" out together at the MAHHA.
Congrats to the winner.
Would love to see a review of this in action. Do you find that the pad eliminates the need to lean back onto the side of the hammock while side sleeping? That seems to be the only way I can sleep on...
Been thinking I might want to try a Neoair Xlite or Xtherm in the RR as I keep hearing from folks on here how comfortable they are to sleep on. Will also be taking the kids for for some section...
"The worst thing I can imagine is waking up and realizing I forgot to bring any coffee."
Second that. Happened my last two times out.
