Leaving soon... be there in a few hours!
Correct about the passport, but there is no fee to stay in the group use area where the hang takes place - aside from buying raffle tickets to support the event ;)
Could just be blocked here at work... I'll check it out when I get home.
The google doc doesn't appear to be working?
Bummer, missed out on the shirts... I kept meaning to check back on this thread but we've had one ridiculously crappy month and checking in became a lower priority.
Anyway - definitely will be...
Most likely will be making it... have to make sure I'm not scheduled to work... won't add my name to the list just yet.
Wish I could have made it - I'm jealous!
Hopefully next year it will work out.
Have a great hang everyone!
Had an amazing time again this year! It was great to see familiar faces, and to meet new folks :)
Huge thank you to everyone that did the cooking and organizing for the event, I don't think anyone...
Hoping my last few patients show up early so I can get on the road! See everyone this evening!
Getting pretty excited! I will be packing up the Jeep tonight so I can leave right from work tomorrow.
I may have missed it, and I don't remember from last year, so how much are the raffle...
A long range forecast looks like we should have mid 40s at night and high 60s during the day - that will be perfect as far as I'm concerned!
My friend that is coming along came by last night and...
I'm going to have to check out the options at my local Costco. I'm wondering if this could be used as a UQ along with my Jarbidge for a little extra warmth...
Really looking forward to this! I didn't get a chance to get out and hang anywhere but in my Turtledog stand this year - so I'm really dying to get out into the woods. I went out and tested out the...
That would be awesome!
We should be arriving Friday early evening depending on when I can get off work.
Friend that came with me last year and stayed in a tent will be hanging this year! I've got a spare setup that he'll be using, but if it gets as cold as last year he may have to tent anyway - my...
Awesome, I was just checking in to the forum to see if this was announced yet. I think I still have time to make sure I don't have to work that weekend... Hoping to be in with my friend that came...
Late to the party - but the Jarbidge was my first "real" underquilt, and I don't really feel like I need anything else. I have the 3 season and it has performed really well from 80 degrees down to...
If I'm at home I use my Superman snuggie, if I'm out and about I use a poncho liner.
I ended up getting one as a Christmas present ;)
Haven't had a chance to get out and use it yet though. Hoping for a nice weekend...
I love my triangle thingies. I got them for my PLUQ originally to keep the suspension lines from running in a way that was uncomfortably pressing on my head, and I still use them with my Jarbidge....
Looks like it was a great time!
To think I wasted that weekend sitting out on the beach in St Lucia ;)
Maybe the timing will work out for next year! :)
Great idea.
Very nice!
I'll second that shout out - awesome to deal with, and great quality work!
Would the old "rub it down with a dryer sheet" trick work?
I know when I've had a static issues with my clothes before one of the ladies at work would pull a dryer sheet out of their purse ...
...I haven't had a chance to use it outside yet!!
My parents bought me a 20 degree Flight Jacket for Christmas - I wrote out exactly what and how to order it, and they showed up with it on...
Parents got me a UGQ 20 degree Flight Jacket with 850ggd; sister got me a 2qzq tree table, a titanium pot stand for my alcohol stove, a book on backpacking trails in Michigan, and a funny geocaching...
I'll take the 5.11 Kilt! It is one size closer to my actual waist size than the 40 I've been wearing ;)
I'm with you on all of those points... and I thought I recognized you from the ScubaToys forum.
Wish it was a size large!
How much adjustment is there in the waist strap for tightening it?
I always liked hammocks when I was a kid - I went through quite a few of those net hammocks out in the yard when I was growing up... but then forgot about it.
While hanging out on the ESEE Knives...
Happy to provide the nudge ;)
Saves me from having to make another one! LOL!
Wow that came out earlier than I expected!
Let's see if I can get my wife to get it for me for Christmas ;)
Very nice! I'm looking forward to seeing what mine looks like on Christmas Eve.
I'm 6'1" 225lbs and I find that Dutch's Argon 11' hammock is perfect for me.
If I were going to start over again this is how I would do it:
Hammock - Dutch Argon 11' (it is cheap, light, and...
I have reflective lines on my tarp... makes it nice and easy.
It didn't arrive Monday - post office was confused.
Arrived Tuesday - but being that it was already well below the rating of my UQ outside tonight I didn't think it wise to test it out.
I'd like to second the Cub pillow. Perfectly sized.
I should point out that when the wind was making me "a bit chilly" it was mostly because I was hanging on my back deck with no tarp and nothing blocking on the side the wind was coming from - so I...
Very nice!
42" wide x 58" long according to the AHE website.
I would say: get yourself some cinch buckles/straps and dutch clips from Dutchware - then replace the ropes in the channels of your ENO with continuous loops that have whoopie hooks on them to attach...
Tracking info says "Expected delivery day" is today - but the last scan is in Lancaster... we'll see what happens. If it shows up today I may am contemplating trying it out tonight with the expected...
I used mine with my Turtledog stand over the weekend to take an afternoon nap... was down to 29 at that point - woke up when it started snowing and my face was getting wet.
Backside was nice and...
Welcome! This is a great place to help you spend your money ;)
Shipped already? Wow... that's not a delay at all! Great work Dutch.
Thanks Dutch! Ordered, no worries on a delay - it will be worth it!
For me it is because they are local (about an hour from me) and I met Paul and Missy at the group hang... That made me want to support their business :)
New question: When will the 11' version be in stock?
I told myself I was done buying hammock related stuff for the year... then you do this.
Is that an introductory price right now, or is that the regular price? I may have to wait to order one...
...
Congratz!
One was ordered for me last week as a Christmas gift.... assuming my parents remembered to place the order! Can't wait to get it.
