Try looking on craigslist under yard swing for something like Old Dog's hammock stand. Some DIY required, but that's half the fun of what we do here.

In order to lighten up my DIY tarp setup, I recently purchased a roll of Zing-it from Redden in Bellingham, WA, (with the HF discount, or course).
I then ordered a pair each of the flyz and hooks...

Time and experience shows us all to get up off the wet, usually rough, never level ground.
There is much to learn from all who post here.

Field report for last night:

Brought the steroid quilt out for he night, knew it was going to be mild weather low of 42F, but wanted to see how it draped over me.

I agree with LRR and Jason, (some women are not as observant as others), but that is very hard to camouflage. I would choose to go hang outside first. That's why I hang.

I prefer 2" tree straps for the hammock, not rope/cord and for the tarp use the ridge line cord or add a tree strap(s) depending on the tree and location. Enjoy the outdoors and leave it as you found...

Trees are easier, usable to all hammock types randomly found almost everywhere and no need to carry.

Good Idea, a useful modification to any hammock stuff sack, not to mention a double ended style. All necessary pieces together.
Next you may try another for the fly and its additional parts.

I have had success using aircraft soft stainless steel lockwire. It comes in numerous diameters,it is flexible (not as flexible copper) and will allow for many amasteel eyes, whoopies and burries...

Rolled up fleece jacket or light fleece blanket, tied to tether from end of hammock. The tether keeps it from migrating low in the back by the middle of the night or ending up on the ground outside...
