Think I found what I need. Closing now...
I'm gonna take this.
Hoping to find a good deal on a gently used hammock.
Interested in a fully featured hammy such as:
Forum user made DIY
Chameleon in 1.6 Hexon
SLD Trail Lair
Dream Hammock Sparrow
XLC2.0 in...
Ok, so any idea about what the comfort threshold is? I weigh in at 245# and I currently lay on a DL hammock.
I may be interested, but what is the weight limit on this hammock?
Awesome... I have a 12' Black Canyon of the Gunnison (so, the winter version of that tarp?) on order from him in Coyote Brown. I think I'm next in line on the list too. Can't wait to get it...
Ok. Definitely beyond my skillset. I’m a total novice with a sewing machine. May give it a go though.
Lord no! I love this hammock!!!
So it's not sap. The end that is the worst is always covered by the bishop bag and I never hang without a tarp.
I haven't tried washing it. It's due. What's...
LOL... Of course, for cleanliness sake, I cut off the tags... Someone care to attache a pic of the washing instructions?
Hi everyone.
I have an 11' custom made by user hk2001 that I got off the for sale forums in 2015 - it was used then and as best I can tell it was made by him in 2011 - 2012, so its at least 5 or 6...
Ok, so any recommendations on laundering this quilt? My son's maiden voyage in his resulted in a middle of the night bed-wet. I'm thinking remove the clews and wash on gentle cycle?
Well, as an engineer by trade... Yes, I measured it perfectly! So yes it sits with light tension just at the end of the hammock. Thank you for the clarification!
So I FINALLY finished mine and got it mounted and tested. Very nice quilt! I have a question about the clew length though. According to the tutorial the clews need to be 21" for a 10 foot hammock....
So I'm planning to purchase a stuff sack for my Gemini. Anyone here know what size I should be looking for? I really don't want to buy a bunch and trial and error then return the ones that don't...
I'll take the tarp.
Looking for a Warbonnet Superfly, a UGQ Winterdream, SLD Winter Haven, etc.
Don't care about the material so long as it is not cuban fiber (don't want to spend that much).
Would prefer side...
Payment received and items is shipped.
Sold to loganwmatt pending payment.
Ok thanks. I'll start with the 10' setup for now.
So I have a 3d printer and decided to make some "clewranglers" to use in lieu of carabeaners:

So I have a question about the clew length... I sleep in a 11' and my son uses a 10' I believe this quilt will be mainly used on his hammock, but I may want to use it on my 11 footer. Should I set...
Hi everyone,
First item I have for sale is an Arrowhead Equipment New River, long, 3 season that I just got from another forum in a trade deal for some other items. Right after I got it, I got a...
Mods, please close this thread and move it. No intereste so I'm going to move one of the quilts to the for sale page and see how I do there.
Bump. Still looking for a trade... Need a tarp soon...
Ok, so it's still available - Jerry never replied back (?)
Also meant to ask, is it silnylon or silpoly?
Sure, I'm interested. can you post some pics of it? Does it come with any cordage? Ridgeline? Tieouts? Olive Brown or Evergreen color?
Jeff
Bumping for the new week.
I have an Arrowhead Equipment New River, long, 3 season that I just got from another forum in a trade deal for some other items. Right after I got it, I got a Loco Libre Cayenne Pepper, which is...
I'll take the UQ
What does the tarp have for options if any? Is it a 132" or 144" ridgeline? Has it been seam sealed?
No interest. Moderators please kill this?
Bump. Still interested in trades.
Weird. Well, I fixed it and uploaded them instead of linking to my Dropbox.
Hi everyone,
I have a couple of very nice Benchmade knives I would like to trade towards some backpacking/hammock gear. Both knives are in excellent condition with the original boxes. Photos...
Can the hipbelt be changed out for a different size? I would need a Large belt.
So I'm thinking about trying this on a snugpak underblanket. The factory suspension is so beyond badly done. Anyone else tried it yet?
I use this system for my son's hammock. It's not really as bad as it may sound. It's not the most convenient setup, but it is do-able.
My son is Webelos 1 this year and I'm the den leader. He and I exclusively camp in hammocks now and I haven't had a single issue/complaint about it. In fact, now that we do that, two other families...
I can't believe no one has mentioned doing a PLUQ yet. I have a Jarbidge, a Snugpak, and a PLUQ. The PLUQ works really well down to about 40º, plus you get the satisfaction of DIY.
My Jarbidge...
That's what I am thinking... Probably going to look into sewing a channel on mine as well. As I have it rigged now there are no air gaps though, but it's just not elegant at all. I really like...
Just an observation...
So I picked up a snugpak underblanket. First impressions are great, but the suspension is really poorly executed. I tried sargevining's youtube video modifications and...
I'll take it. PM sent.
Thank you sir. Yes, I'm quite "well watched" with regard to the Shug-verse on youtube... Love your videos...
I do the trick with the foot end. Seemed like a natural, common sense thing and it definitely helps. I don't have issues too bad with the shoulders as much as I do with frostbutt.
That video is no help. i have watched it half a dozen times. The issue with it is he's demoing in a gathered hammock that is symmetrical, AND the demo user is laying in it banana, not angled. Of...
Yeah, I just posted for advice in the Underquilts subforum. I'm definitely thinking I'm gonna DIY one from a MYOG kit. I want longer AND wider. What length and width is your LocoLibre?
Title says it.
I have used my Jarbidge for 3 trips now, 6 nights hanging in total. Each time I end up cold at some point. So, I set it all up to what looks right and get in. It all feels good...
Have you tried a spreader bar on the head end and attaching both hammocks to the same tree? My son and I have used that method and it works great - very close and under the same tarp. Might be the...
Do you suspend your tarp under the CRL, or run the CRL under the tarp? So far I have been suspending it...
I totally dig the tarp wasp. It's a great tool. My son's CRL is an ulttimate hang...
Well, the first, and likely the only, fall campout with my whole family happened this last weekend. We packed my truck to the gills and headed to the Hiwassee River for the weekend. Normally we...
