My son is 13. Mainly just looking for early and late season places. I figured below 9k for temp reasons. We have 20 degree uq and tq. Plus easy one and two nighters. Thanks for your help.
My son and I are looking for some places to hike and hang (9,000 feet and under). What are your faborite places? Do y'all have any suggestions? Thanks a bunch.
I'm an active sleeper. I can't keep a pad underneath my calves and feet. How possible would it be to sew a pocket/sleeve onto the foot box of my TQ to hold a partial pad? Do you think it would be...
We really enjoyed the Ceran St. Vrain trail. There's water the whole way. Plenty of spots to hang. We heard that there were usually a lot of day use folks using the trail. We went late September and...
The boy and I are in. :)
Thanks buddy. As someone who was smaller last time I got outdoors I appreciate your help.
Headed out to Medicine Bow NF in Wyoming with my oldest son and my brother and discovered holes in my bug net. Not sure how this happened. What is the best way to repair this? Thanks for the help.
I'm almost 350 and used mine all summer. I'm a flipper and a flopper and it held up to that stress. Not scientific. More annecdotal. Hope that helps.
Coolio! Thanks for the help. I'll PM Throkda now.
I have a get-together to go to in April. I don't really want to go to the ground.
I've looked on the website but can't find any info. Does Cedar Hill State Park allow hammocks? Also any tips...
Welcom buddy! From one Texan to another, you'll love HF.
Good stuph. I just got my son and I completely set up.
Cool. Thanks for the 411.
What are the extra rings on the underside of my new Mamajamba for?
I just used this method...except I used figure 9's instead of line locks. I love that the extra line can be coiled and stored between the Shockcord loop.
Thanks for the help.
Here ya go friend. BAM!
Welcome fellow highlander!
I'd like in please
Hmm. No snowmobile and the reindeer are on strike. We will definetly have to go play hammock soon though. You know before your time gets taken up with poo and spit up and sleepless nights.
The expert has spoken. Thanks for everyone's input.
First not "butt cold" day and me and the boy are hangin!
Jazilla. That's just what the directions said??
It was good day in the Sevens house last night. We got our Yeties and a Mamjamba in the mail. I got the tarp with pull outs. Should I seam seal the pull out disks on the back? I never used seam seal...
We got our new Yeties in. The instructions said to put them in the dryer with a wrung out wet rag and tennis balls. I assume that the dryer setting should be on just air not warm air. Am I thinking...
Very cool. I just can't wrap my brain around how that bury can hold me. We'll give it a try.
Much thanks.
Im just curious. Would Whoopie slings hold up a fellar around 300 lbs.? I want to get my Blackbird lighter but it seems, at my size, I'd hear "zzzzzziiittt!" then I'd be on the ground??
Thanks...
Welcome! Welcome!
Search weather shield in the HF. Figure that should give you what ya need.
Welcome! My boy and I are new to the wonderful slumber of hanging. He slept the whole last week in his Warbonnet Traveler. It's good stuph my friend.

Looking for JRB style sleeves. Anyone wanna hook a brotha up?
In Denver the only place I could find braided was at the Army Surplus store. I'd try there maybe?

Is it advisable to us Speer No-Tangle for the tarp ridgeline?
Thanks for the help.
Many Thanks are in order. A couple of years ago I discovered HF.net and knew this whole hanging thing would get me back in the woods doing what I had loved so long ago. I had wanted to start...
