I like the idea of tarp pullouts. That's a great benefit. I am going to have to add that to my next tarp (which I'm planning now, hence the post!)...
Who has tried their hand at making a two tone, side seam, seamless ridge-line tarp? Seems like an awesome idea!
I first saw an example when I saw Streamline's two color tarp design with no...
Streamline, Is that tarp wider at one end like the arrowhead shangri-la? I really like the looks of yours, and it appears to be constructed that way. If it is wider one one end, do you think that...
Well, the prussik on the double thick amsteel didn't work. After loading it up, it was still almost impossible to adjust the prussik again. Too bad!
The toggle is a much better solution than that...
I was thinking the same thing about the prussik knot to a single line. I did a search here, and there have been a few tries that either didn't hold, or rendered the prussik un-adjustable after it...

It definitely paid to be persistent... I wastotallyabout to give up after the first night.
I think another factor was that i made a pillow out of my clothes bag the second night. The first...

Thanks for the welcome, everyone! Seems like there are lots of ppl from michigan. Must be all the trees :)

So this is just a story from a noob about how you should test your gear:
i decided to get out and try my hammock backpacking a week ago, and all i had was an old rain fly from a garage sale tent. ...
Hello!
Earlier this summer i got an ENO double nest as a wedding party gift (super cool gift!) and learned that ppl backpack with them. Then learned about diy stuff on jeffs page which pointed...
