Primarily I use the pad. About 90% of the time. I do have a set of 40* Underground Quilts. I use those only when I have to go lightweight.
I got one a month ago for my new BMBH. Works very well. Spent a night out in the back yard. Got down to the low 40's. No problems. Stayed nice and toasty.
SHUG!!! Stop with the unicycle wrecks. That hurts... I need to lay down... (walking away from the computer now, headed towards the couch) Honey, would you get me an ice pack, PPLLeeaassee????
Very cool... Enjoyed. Thanks for posting.
Big fish. Thank you for the photos.
Yep. Used that method. Worked good on my hand and other exposed parts. Worried about using it on the hammock and other gear. Not sure what the peroxide will do to the fabric.
Well, I got to the trail head at about noon on Saturday. The road in was still bad. Not bad enough to stop a 4wd truck. Had to turn around once. Took a wrong turn. Found two vehicles parked at the...
I'm taking my 4.5 foot telescoping rod and reel. The reel is strung with 2 pound test florocarbon line. Also taking a few split shot sinkers, small hooks and a few woolybooger flies. I'll pick up a...

Did a two day, one night ride in the Tonto N.F. Base camped and road from Reynolds creek to Aztec Peak, via Workman's Falls. Wonderful ride. Net some new people, relaxed and enjoyed.
I agree with Lowclass. Lets keep it simple.
I'm really looking forward to this trip. Finally chose a pack and got it on friday. With all my gear loaded it's rediculously heavy! I'll work on lightening my load later.

Longbow, thank you for the map.
I'm still in on this. Working on getting Friday off. Would like to get there earlier. I still need to get a backpack. Any recomendations?
First, Where is Runnemede?
Next, The Phoenix Metro area (Phoenix, Glendale, Mesa etc.) is just a place where people live, work and go shoping. Everything there as far as recreation and relaxation...
I'm interested. Available for either weekend. Can't be there on Friday, but can be there for Saturday and Sunday. What am I doing?! Planning to go "Hiking"! Now I gotta buy a pack.
Your not getting mine back Dutch. I would like to know when JRB will be getting more 1.5 inch clips in. I need a set of those.
Not intending to hijack the thread, but, would someone please explain to me what "cold sleeper and warm sleeper" mean. I'm trying to get a good understanding of what everyone is referring too.

excellent video and review. thank you.
Thank you all for your input. I'll be working on this project, this weekend.
Ok. I'm going to make a UQ. I've checked many of the web sites that sell UQ's, All are way out of my price range.
I've got a 20* mummy bag I dont use, a professional seamstress at my disposal,...
(Hennessy Hex?).
Yep. Got it the day before we left. Didn't have a chance to play with it in the backyard. When it started raining I dropped it down to just above the hammock. Worked much better.
Took four days off and went fishing up at Knoll Lake. First two nights in the Hennessey Exped were great. Had to adjust the suspension ropes several times. They kept stretching. Good nights sleep....
Thank you to everyone. I'll post some pictures of this weekends trip, when I get back.
Hello to everyone. My login name says it all. I am not a hiker. I camp from my quad (2008 Can Am Outlander) and from my boat (1981 Gregor 14 ft. aluminium v hull). When family camping I take my wife...
That thing is huge! I like it! For my activities, the 4 pound of weight would not bother me. Very nice.:shades:
