Well - My SS arrived last night with the package ripped open. Inside was the stuff sack with the UC and pad inside and a ziplock bag with the OC inside.

Has anyone substituted something else (thinking poncho liner maybe) for the pad?
The overcover played a part in my decision also. I was likely going to buy one to check out at some point anyway - so I rationalized that the undercover & pad only cost me $60.
I just caved and ordered one too. I was planning on a down UQ but thought I'd give this a try first. Hard to pass up this deal...
