I used my IX under quilt as a top quilt for additional insulation, on the ground, in a shelter. I found out the hard way that it wasn't very breathable. I was wet from sweat in the morning.

Just ordered a set. I am looking forward to keeping my quilt in place on a cold winter's night.

It's nice and cool at the top of mt Leconte in the smokies. Low 70's for the high and around 60 overnight. It just hot and humid on the trails on the way up the mountain....
