Cheers for the replies. I will have a bit of a play and see what I can do.
Morning All,
I have made myself a standard pipe stand.
470 cm (15 ft) long ridge (single piece).
220 cm (7ft) high uprights.
150 cm (5 ft) long feet (perpendicular to the ridge).
The pipe is...
That is actually a very good idea for S + R purposes. I had a sleeping bag like that...it wasn't pink tho', it was a manly yellow inside.
I wouldn't sleep outside Auckland Airport though...
Always be mindful of your surroundings in NZ- Secluded isn't the same as stealth.

I was going to sew a loop on one end of the new webbing. Put the webbing thru the end of the hammock, back thru the loop and tie off to the tree...
It might be a bit of a hike for me to get to Wally World ;)
OK, thanks for the advice. I will just use my SPE then. I was hoping to be able to get away with just using a standard pad.
Cheers.
BillyBob,
My JH is on it's way. You recommend a wider pad than the usual 20" ? How wide would you go ? (Conversely how narrow would you go?).
Cheers.
G'Day,
I have a HH EX Dluxe but I am looking at getting a Claytor. At 189 cm (6'2") which would be the better option comfortwise - Jungle or Exped (or No Net) ?
Cheers.
G'Day,
How did the snugpak underquilt go with the HH ? Any good or karzi ?
Chris.
Bad sounds -
Possums (brushtail) coughing next to you can cause the heart rate to increase dramatically.
Herons can sound otherworldly as they croak away at dusk.
Amorous Wekas are a pain.
