I'm going to try and make it up. Unfortunately I'm still not driving, so I'm at the whim of getting a ride up there. I'll be getting in touch with Kaycee to see if he is coming up, but I'd heard he...

My buddy had a motor oil spill on his quilts in the back of his car. What should be done to take care of the quilts? The oil is partially soaked into the footbox. Anyone have experience, is DownWash...
I'm glad to hear you got your truck started Whiskeyjack, felt bad leaving you out there.
All set to go

I hear ya stairguy, the community that's involved in this hang is what has had me excited for it since last year.
Kaycee I'll see what I can do about the roasted cashews, atleast for the ride up....

So I just pulled this "bbq" pork out of the oven for the hang
Get better Radiohead! Kaycee is right... bring a comfortable chair or stool to spend some evening hours in. Also a lexon or plastic spoon is better than metal for eating, metal gets cold quick.
Chaga!?! We should have Chaga again!
If your driving up through the cities REI in Bloomington off of American Blvd and 35W will be the easiest stop for snow stakes. Otherwise Midwest Mountaineering on Cedar is a good place.
Sweet, I think the tarps were more effective than the parachute. But maybe my perception will change without having one. It sure did look cool at night though.
So is anyone bringing a parachute? It was a nice touch last year. I was gonna bring a tarp and rope to string up. Has anyone else thought about tarps and such to set up around the main camp area?

Good call Kaycee, I remember Blaktee and someone else wondered around in the dark for a couple hours last year before they found camp.

BBQ pork is always a welcome side dish.
Well you can do what you want hikingdad. I've had cryptosporidium before and it's really not a lot of fun. If I make it back to MN and am able to attend I'll be bringing gallon jugs of water. It's...
Why wouldn't snow need to boiled? Wouldn't it contain the same contamination as standing water?
Admins this can be moved to Sold.
I'll take the thermo lite if it didn't sell already.
Right on, my only thought was why pay for wood if it's already there waiting for you. It's also a good time filler during the day and gets you out walking around and being active.
Wait?!? You buy wood?!? What about just some axes and saws and chopping down dead standing trees? I'm just thinkin back to the amount we went through at the MNFBH and it would have been hundreds of...
Alright I gotta ask. Are there snow mobile trails around? Or is the campsite off of one. I got a wild hair idea to fatbike up to the Hang but not quite sure if it would work or if it would just be a...
Looking for a pair of size 14 or 15 steger mukluk or some similar brand.
Thanks
Vince
Sold! Pending funds......
Old Man Dan, I think it should fit you fairly well. The extra legth shouldn't be an issue, it will just cover your backside nicely. As far as girth it should still give you plenty of room for...
Ya Montexan, I think you got it right going north through Olympia. I go right between Olympic national park and Seattle. But I think I'm going to detour off and see both those. I'm going to Sumas...
Things are getting cold out there....
Thanks Yellowjacket I'll get a route up as soon as I have my maps. Should be monday.
I'm restarting my bicycle tour on the coast. I'm in McMinnville now and will be heading to Sumas, WA. I have my tent with me :( and it works. But I'd like to go back to sleeping in my hammock. Also...

I feel the same as blaktee. Last year was my first time at this and it was managed really well. Food was great, people were awesome. Madhob and Jason did a great job setting up the spot. I wouldn't...

I'm out on a bike tour and will be in Missoula in a couple weeks. I'm in Helena now but will be heading down to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons and Jackson WY before coming back up to Missoula. I'd like...
Hey, I'm on a bike tour and may be in the area around those dates it's a little far out to tell. But if I am I would like to come with. I did the MN Frozen Butt Hang last year so I feel pretty...
Still up for grabs. $200 includes shipping to lower 48.
Sorry Refreshing wasn't able to gethe the hike in. Maybe I'll look at it tomorrow and see if I can. They have now closed the Going to the sun road so well see. I biked up and down it today though,...
Well I took a bunch of pictures today but either it's my phone or HF, but they don't wanna play nice together. So no pics for now. I did a 9% grade 7 mile climb today, about 1600ft. That was a good...
I'll try and keep a steady supply
I'm 6'3" 230# and it was a bit tight around the belly. I would be able to maybe widen it, but I am now starting a 7 month bike trip tonight as it would be. As much as I'd like to say yes, because I...
So I'm going to keep this as an on going thread, maybe it should be moved to donating members section. If so let me know.
Just started the first leg of my bike tour. I'm taking a train from St....

This was built for someone who was 5'11" and about 150 lbs. He ended up backing out, but said there was plenty of girth around the belly for layering. The length was good to cover his waist. Chriss,...
