I second titanium hiker's idea about looser socks, either get some thick quality wool socks, adding a liner sock also helps, you could try neoprene socks, really warm but it will trap your sweat...
I'm in... happy halloween everyone
good luck guys, were supposed to get some of it by late tuesday or later
stay safe, happy hanging
FRED

I'll keep checking the post to see if you accept me or not...
cool, welcome to the club neighbour
FRED
it is flat, as long as you find the sweet spot, just like any other gathered end hammock, I think the side pullouts help a bit, but... if you can borrow one before spending the money :shades:
FRED

FRED

FRED
Hey from across the river!!! :D
all I can think you might need to start is a bug net (M.E.C. has some in store for the portec) or easy to DIY (Hennessey Hammock clone)
see you out there!!!
FRED
welcome from gatineau qc
how big of a tear? small ones can easily be hand sewn with an invisible stitch, which as the name implies, will not be visible if done properly, easy to do, you just need a needle and some thread ;)...
send Hennessey an Email with the pic and they'll probably send you another one!!!
good luck
FRED
welcome to the fun!!!

FRED
welcome to the party, bienvenue à la fête, on s'amuse come des fous!!!

o.k., I see what your looking for, basically a SPE. :)
easy to make your own if your into diy.
and yes it will work in any types of hammock :D
just do a quick search for SPE or segmented pad...

Imo don't glue them sides, heat seal the edges, enjoy the hammock and when you have access to a thread injector, hem the sides and continue enjoying the hammock!!!
To store them and to pack them is a totally different thing, to store just put them in a loose sac ( think pillow case ) and to pack them, just put them in your pack ( in a garbage or trash compactor...
