I'm interested.
I'm marking my calendar as well. It's been too long!
I,too, want to add my voice to the roar of gratitude for all your contributions to our love of the outdoors. (How's the finger?)
Welcome from NE Georgia, Steve.
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
I just got chastised for being in the woods during the Moonshine Festival and the Hillbilly Hog Throwdown.
Add your base layer and some warm socks and you will be fine.
Early forecast: cold
I may come in on Thursday also.
Welcome from the NE GA mountains! We're glad to have your experience on our forum.
Excellent pix and report! Those naps are important.
Great trip report, Pauly. The pictures are very good! I'm glad to see you guys were able to carry Tumbleweedz when needed.
Back atcha, Doodad. Let's hit the trail again soon. I'm thinking Chattooga River area?
Thanks Old4. When you're ready to go give me a shout!
Thanks TallPaul. Do you know how to imbed a video from PhotoBucket?
This really more of a test for me to see if I can post with pictures.

I'm gonna have to pass on this one. I have to bend Q tips to make sure they fit my ears properly that weekend. :-)
I know you will have a great time!
Yella ones!
I want in! :D
Great trip report! You forgot to mention one important thing about the Prairie... Water moccasins.
This is a good idea. Last week it was so windy that my pot, stove, and windscreen all blew over. I finally got down behind some rocks and was able to finish cooking.
Welcome from Cleveland, GA! We love our GA mountains! So many trees to hang from....so little time.
FLRider, I've trained on many of these roads throughout the Ocala Forest. But never on a BEACHCRUISER! Really? and were you wearing a backpack, or what?
Well, Old4Hats told me he was going to make this hang when we were at the North GA hang last month but, being an Ex FL PAT, I just shook it off. (It couldn't be as cool as hanging in our mountains, I...
My son just moved to Park City. I look forward to visiting him and hanging in the Wasatch Mountains.
Nothing I can say that hasn't been said, except...Man! I really admire you guys! If it ever gets to -12 here in Georgia I'm headed out with my hammock.
I'm now completely encased in Leighlo downy comfort and I'm completely satisified!
I have found that a very thin sock, then a bread bag, then a thick sock does the trick for me.
Thanks for my first laugh out loud of the day!
here are a few more pictures.

It really was good to see everyone again. And I appreciate all the food and drink that was there....
I always enjoy your videos and never get tired of the in-depth examination of your gear.
Meh...none are very interesting. Smith Creek is the most like a wilderness hike but if you need to make it a loop there's some road walking.
It is a little bit harder to adjust, but if you reach over before you zip up the bugnet, it's not too hard. Just make sure your feet slip under the suspension. The quilt is less likely to shift if...
I should be able to make it.
If you want to see all my pix they are here:

I counted thirty hammocks on Saturday.
I had a great time, also! I was great to meet all of you and to learn so much.
I'm looking forward to some trips with new friends!
Terrific Trail Tale! Enjoyed it very much.
I plan on being there about noon, today.
i love my solo time in the woods!
(I'm sending a PM with a question about your video.)
I'll be in on Friday.
Good days! Are you going to begin the loop on Blood Mountain - Coosa in one day is strenuous. Not saying you can't do it, I'm saying it's more than I'd want to do! Are you going clockwise?
I am in favor of all the pesky Gators I can find!
I stopped by yesterday, Thursday, and man was it crowded! Maybe the weather, or the fact that most of the leaf lookers will be gone will change things next weekend. I'm sure we'll have a great time...
This may be the first thread ever to get moved twice. Women's next?
Enjoyed the trip with you guys! Is this where the movie Deliverance was filmed? I thought I heard banjos.
Do you ever get strikes against you on YouTube for copyright infringement? OH, and how is...
Thanks for sharing your hikes, Shug. The opening shots are amazing! I ducked on that last wave.
It's good for me! I probably will go on Friday, the 9th as well.
Nice pix. I'm really glad you got the good weather. Now it's rainy (snow flurries expected) and really windy.
