My favorite luxury item is a flask of rum. It can also function as part of my firestarting kit if need be so i feel like its not necessarily a luxury. I guess after my last hike where i used a baby...
At least if its freezing its not dripping on you.
I use some generic ones i made for a hammock. They bubble in the midlle but only because they arent long enough. The mg ones seem pretty cool and not a horrible price. I kinda expected them to cost...

I made my uq by folding the throw over to get a 35x60 rectangle and then just sewed on some grosgrain loops down the ends and the edges and ran shock cord thru it. On the folded side i just ran some...
Nice tarp. I like the fact it looks roomy and the weight is spot on for my target. How well is the waterproofness of the fabric? have you been out in any rain in it yet?
I see theres no minimum amount, is there a max amount i could buy of the od green cuben to get a price break? Looking at building several tarps and ponchos for a couple of friends.
I have the 9 and had i used it during last weekends rain storm instead of my new tarp i would have stayed a lot drier. Cant beat that price either.
Can't weigh that much its cuben fiber. Would have loved some side pullouts the other night when i was pitched right up against a tree, could have given myself a bit more room had my tarp had them.
Dutch hook on continuous ridgeline and then for tie outs i used y stakes and zing it. Installed a prusik on each length of zing it so i just thread the loop over the stake and pull the line tight...
Flat metal inside the camper top as a brace down the bottom side of the 4 runner camper top with eye bolts on outside hook hammocks to 4 runner and a stand to hook the other ends to. Tarp comes...

Found a free titanium stake last weekend as well as a mesh r/l bag also scored a kelty noah 9 tarp from a member here for shipping. I was able to give it to a friend to get him covered for our hike...
we passed like 5 people the whole trip,so much for those other 8,999,995 visitors. it was a nice loop but a bit much for my dads first hike in 10 years. All I have to do now is get him hangin!
the stopper knot is tied to the tag ends of the prusik, then they are inserted thru the larkshead holding to the end of the tarp.the knot just gives the larkshead something to hold onto so the prusik...

I'm jealous! My pack is at 16 lbs with food and fuel but no water and my setup should be good for about 25-30 degrees

anyone run their crl between the two marlinspike hitches in their tree straps?
4" tree straps are what we use when we winch our jeeps and pull off of trees I think 1" will be fine
I made sand stakes from 1/4 in steel rod you get at home depot 18 inch minimum for sand and they are heavy but they work.
I always hang in the park but I also avoid the shelters as much as possible, the campsites are the way to go less people, hate to hear the money wont go to shelters and trails but I am looking...
Really? I knew the work was done by volunteers but I was told that the money would be used to help out with supplies and materials and such guess I was told wrong and if the fees arent goim to trails...
usually i would complain about having to pay to camp and hike in my backyard but the improvements they are doing to the shelters and trails will make the fee worthwhile for me
