nah im using the poncho liner as an under quilt, i live in Canada and at this time of year it can be any where form -5 up to like 60 so my sleeping bag really varies

honestly i use an unrolled shower loofah as a hammock skin, it wont win any beauty contests but its ultra light and oddly durable, ive had one on my hammock for 2 years and haven't had to replace it...

depending on the strength of these you may be able to use it as a toggle for whoopie slings
but a stick is much cheaper

good point but where i live the closest thing to an "exposed ridge" is a highway over pass lol
i would personally not camp on a exposed ridge, but thats just me
thats why im going to try the braided masons line so i can make a fixed loop that goes around the tent stake
