I'll take the necker for $85
Send me the info to pay you...jmrobbins2604(at)yahoo<dot>com
I have hammocked with Noah9 many, many times...it served me well enough that I invested in all three sizes of the Noah tarps. They have all been weather tested/blasted on outings and none have ever...
Regarding the field knife, how much use has it seen? Is it the original edge or has it been re-sharpened in any way?
Thanks.
How (what method and materials), and when (how often) have the pants been washed?
Thanks
+1
MAy have to get in on this next time
nice trip and video
Like others, my list varies with the type of camping...a must have for all types is a good chair or stool. Second to that would be a good headlamp.
If it's cool or cold weather, and if I can fit it...
4x6 should be plenty stout for average size person/load...imo
I would suggest making sure your head-end is lower than your foot-end (6-8 inches), otherwise you'll be sliding to the foot-end of your hammock all night and pulling yourself back "uphill" for a...
Nope. Not in my opinion.
I set up my Noah 9 incorrectly once, incorrectly as in it collected rain rather than shed rain(I had porch mode too flat)...I woke up looking at what appeared to be the...
I have all 3 sizes of the Noah tarps, I think they're great.
The Noah 16 is big, and dry; you'll make new friends on a rainy weekend campout.
Ditto, same here
Ditto...
Having a unworn clean dry shirt to sleep in helps a lot imo; the silk sleeping sack provides warmth in the early AM hours and it packs down really small too.
Love my Tree Table, it's as handy as a shirt pocket.
Gave two for Christmas gifts, the recipients have really enjoyed them. It's just nice to not have to set certain things on the ground; or have to...
I received my 2QZQ UQP back in Oct 2015 and on the first outing it was tested to the max by the weather conditions, non-stop torrential rain for three days and cold...I have no doubt my UQ would not...
IMO it won't work, the 2QZQ UQP is very lightweight and intended to keep a self-supported UQ dry and protected from humid/moist conditions, not hold up a down blanket in place of a UQ.....again, just...
I have a WBBB 1.1DL, (not the XLC), used only a few times, has webbing/buckles suspension with the biners, has some Sharpie writing on the WB double-ended storage bag...other than that it looks new,...
Hey, thanks for posting that!
Just now found this thread...looks like a good way to go imo.
I have the 2QZQ single pole mod, which does really well, but this looks to give more room inside. However, the single-pole mod does...
Yep, that's me too....I think of the handwarmers as emergency heat grenades; boy will they put the heat into anything down-filled.
Good article, ...nothing worse than being cold and not being able...
What color is the Marmot?
I'll call seconds on the Hennessy rain fly, should that fall through.
On the WBBB, is it single or double layer please?
Thanks.
Is the full-length underquilt standard, long, or short?
Thanks
How old is the bag and how many times would you estimate used?
Thanks
That's a good deal on a great tarp...love my Noah 9, use it as much or more than my WB Superfly.
... has anybody found snakeskins that work with the 1.7 DL? Where please?
Thanks in advance!
I got snakeskins for my tarps from Kat, the quality of her work is excellent. Definitely get the storage pockets added for tieouts!...
Not an intended hijack, has to do with the poncho liner for sale....
question: what kind of temp rating can be expected of a poncho liner UQ?
thanks!
Sounds handy...
....I'll take it.
I'm in, thanks!
Ok.......!
Thank you to all for the unamiously good information!
There would probably be more like you, (donors), and less like me if the information about being a Donating Member was somewhere to...
Thank you for mentioning about the Donating Members List! It sounds like a very good thing!
I'll readily admit I'm not the smartest guy around....
But I've looked high and low over the forum list...
Suggestion: Have a sub-forum for "Associated Gear", or "Other Gear"?
Reason: There's a lot of gear needed to facilitate getting the hammock up and swinging...packs, boots/shoes, cooking stuff,...
I'll take the remaining Blackbird and
I'll take the remaining Super Fly.
Payment sent, thanks
I hope the good deal holds together for everybody involved...but I'll put my "I'll take it, second dibs" out there just in case. Thanks.
Real happy for you mrcheviot.................dang.
:)
I will call 'seconds' in case the transaction with mrcheviot falls through.
Thank you for the chance! Count me in please.
PM sent...
I'm not getting the pictures to come up.....
I'm in!
(Don't know what you're using for a die, but it sure make some smooth turns on your stoves.)
lol...I hung near Irmo last year when it was triple digits until the sun went down, ...doubt I'll do that again anytime soon.
Anywho...a foam pad between my double layers does me well in the warm...
Your workmanship is excellent, and the design is killer! If I didn't also do leather and already have a similar pouch, I'd buy this.
The fact you MADE the tooling-stamps = wow!
Any pictures available with the knives in the open position?
I know it's a warm-season bag, but would like to know the mfgr's stated temp range? ( I couldn't find any info on-line.)
From three years using them, my personal experience has been great...they work. I've used them on SC low-country rivers (bad) and this past Winter in the Everglades (worse than bad)
It was WAY hot last Sat when I climbed in the hammock for the night (hit 101 at 5 pm that afternoon), too hot to keep the bug net closed on my Blackbird...I had one of those little AA battery powered...
Absolutely!
