I've got no problem with your pooch, bring her on.
Southmark, is you friend still coming on Saturday?
Sorry to hear that, Southmark. I was looking forward to meeting you.
I typed in "Cheaha State Park".
His first post mentioned going 2 miles on the Chinnabee to the Pinhott then about 3 miles down the Pinhoti to a spring. Just my guess though, doesn't matter to me.
By my accounts we have about 17 planning on attending:
Southmark + 1, Angrysparrow, Hetairoi, Ewker, Eman, Hedcase, Cyokely, Stoikurt, Cuffs, bigbamaguy (Sat.), Ekul + 1 and Peg-Leg + 1 or 2 (Sat.),...
That link went to the Sipsey Wilderness. Here's one for Cheaha State Park.

I'll still be there on Friday. I'm trying to talk Funny Money into joining us. I saw that he and a friend coming from Tallahassee were planning a hike in the area on the same weekend anyway.
I'm planning on getting there by 1 PM or earlier.
I figured out the problem. I put a "d" in there to represent degrees. Do not use the "d" or the degree symbol. Use this: 33 26' 39.13"N, 85 50' 29.69" W.
When I put in the "d" I also was taken...
You must have typed something wrong. I went back into Google Earth Pro and Google Maps and Yahoo Maps, entered those coordinates and went right to the same spot in Talladega NF.
From Google Earth Pro I have determined that the Turnipseed Trailhead parking is at 33d 26' 39.13" N and 85d 50' 29.69" W. I welcome anyone to verify that.
Thanks, I'm so looking forward to it. I need to get out, it's been a tough last year and a half.
Well, just got the OK from my wife to go on this hike.:D:D:D
I'll probably have to leave Panama City by about 6AM to make sure I can get there to meet up by 1AM.
Southmark (and others), if...
OK, is Adams Gap where the Adams Gap Road hits 281 coming out of Lineville? Zooming in on Google there is a parking lot where these 2 roads intersect. It looks like 281 (or Talladega Scenic Hwy)...
I'm contemplating joining in this hike. What's the best way to get there coming from the south?
