RBTR is a great supplier. Shipped ROBIC 1.2 xl super fast to Dutch, Dutch makes 11 ft netless super fast, I get awesome lightweight hammock. I really like this fabric, firm feel for the weight.

I had Dutch make an 11 ft net less in Robic 1.2 xl and I am very happy with it. Very little stretch and super comfortable. For me at least (6’2” 190)

I’m 190 and sleep fine in a Robic 1.2 xl. Very happy with it

11 foot long should do, I’m 6’2.5” and use a Dream Hammock Dangerbird and a Dutch 11 foot netless with a bug net. Both about 66” wide.

AWOL’s book is indeed a good read. I saw that he took over the AT trail guide, was on the shelf at REi.

If you are splicing Amsteel, the Dutch tools make it waaaay easier.

Just made up some dog bones with the larger loop tool from Dutch, really speeds up the process over using a wire home made tool. Now on to the small tools for Zing-it!

Snakeskins plus the nite eze bendy wire wraps for the ends sticking out. Lots of generic ones on Amazon for cheap.

+1 on pay attention to length. Most of the hammocks on Amazon are short. FYI, for the el cheapo kid backyard hammock, its hard to beat the CutieQueen hammocks, if you can get over the name.

I just ordered a bug net from them, worked on a slight alteration of their stock design They were super responsive, quick and solid craftsmanship.

For what’s it worth, I’m 6’3” and use an 11’ 68” or so wide Hammock. I can’t sleep on my back in a bed, but can in a hammock. Go figure.

I just decided to give Robic 1.2 xl a try for a lightweight wide hammock. A very light wide set up, with a little more load limit.

That tree anchor set up looks great. I have the Hammock Anchors that slide up Amsteel attached to Kevlar tree loops and Dutch clips.

Weight of Hammock is 264 grams, stuff sack 12 grams, my tree hugger and hammock anchor suspension 82 grams. Very happy with the weight of this set up.

How much load is on a structural ridge line? If you wanted to go the detachable route, could you use a mini biner or do you need something more load bearing?

How does the stretch on this compare to Hexon 1.0 for a 190 lb guy?

Does anyone have a stuffing technique other than having the tarp hang down and stuffing it like a sausage? It's a pretty sizable package compared to a folded tarp. I have a tadpole and snake skins...

Dutch likes the Hexon 1.0. I'd love to see a wide version of that fabric.
