Welcome to the group. Nice to see another Maritimer.
You do realize what you are getting yourself in to I hope?
Her in hammock, twins need watching, you not in hammock? See where I'm going with this?
Joking aside, it looks like you are on your...
Start off with something big, thats what everyone else does!:lol::lol::lol:
You do want to be "normal" like the rest of us don't you?
Welcome from down east guys. This is the spot to ask any questions, and to make new hanging friends, and to buy new gear, and to learn how to sew DIY gear, and to learn from other's experience, and...
Hmmm, sounds familiar. I think its 1 of the "side effects" of "hanging" around this forum.
There is so little activity down here that it would likely be a waste of space to have an Eastern Canada section. Personally I like reading the posts from everywhere, although there are quite a few...
Very carefully!
Let us know when you figure out how to do that!!:)
Well you "jumped right in" and that shows your enthusiasm. You will probably find out that even though you got your tarp done, your sewing will get better and easier the more projects you do....
Tnx for the link. I don't have a Singer, but a quick look shows that there is a lot of "general" info in there that should come in handy.
Nice pic. Put those in anytime, we don't see that kind of sky in this part of the world.
Somewhere in Northern Canada Eh? Well that narrows it down somewhat!!
Welcome from Eastern Canada!
I really like that philosophy. Then the machine can stay loaded" with the same thread/needle all the time. Then one has to figure out how any particular material needs to be dealt with.
I keep it...
Great report and pics, tnx for sharing.
REV you got any suggestions on sewing with mesh. My present attempt at making mesh bags, in this case to keep snorkle gear in, was a disaster. I just could not get the mesh to cooperate. I know, I...
That I could set for MY comfort and it would keep me at that temp all night.
That didn't weight a ton!
Looks like I'm going to miss it again this year. Will be out of country on that weekend. :crying
Actually on a road trip to Nfld we found it better to pack the cooler with beer and some food. Had some nice sea trout to replace it with!
AND one of those nice rum & fruit juice drinks. Sounds good to me!
Think you lost the trail?
Step 1 Take out GPS and Mark that spot so you can at least always get back there.
Step 2 Then scout out around or try to back-track to find trail.
Step 3 IF you...
Looks a lot like the place I spent some warm afternoons in my spring trip to Jamaica!
I don't underconstubble what the adjustment is for?
None on the ground here either. I will be more than glad to send you any we get!
Those brown ones look just like mine. Except, mine got paint stains, rub marks, abrasions, etc, etc, and as of Jan 01/2012 they have been to a Polar Bear dip in the Atlantic Ocean!

Regional Forums are a good idea, but not always. On some sites I visit I go only to my Region and ignore the rest. On here I read the posts no matter where they come from. I just finished reading the...
beep - Tnx for posting that. Gives me a great idea for making a Geocahing Puzzle.
Seasons Greetings
Nice find guy. Welcome to the world of thread injectors. I hope you find like I did that it is a great way to pass the time, AND you get things done the way YOU want them done.
Very nice. Tnx for the great pics. :thumbup1:
Actually this forum has a problem. It's addictive!:D
Love it here during my morning coffee, my after dinner coffee, and my relaxing after supper coffee. (And sometimes a small look-in throughout...
Little early for Cabin Fever yet isn't it? Man if you got the Fever now you have a long way to go til spring! :bored:
Only used parallel lines once. That would have made it a lot neater for sure. Tnx Rr. Sure glad we got some experienced guys here. Happy Holidays.
I thought that's what the "offset' stitch was for? So that your "work" area need not be right under the feed dog. Probably all machines don't have this option though. But it seems to work good for me.
I used to have the same problem when stitching close to the edge. My new machine has an "offset" stitch (maybe not the right name) where the needle is actually shifted to the left so that there is...
Always looking for a new project. Decided to do four aprons to give away during the holidays. Great fun and great practice. First time I had used the iron to help make hems.
Must be single, or wants to be!:D
Still lonely over there I see Bluefin. :( That is terrible. I just found out that I MAY be coming over next summer with a Photo Club I belong to. Destination Gros Morne. Where you located?
Tnx for the tip. I knew where there was a discarded 5 speed. Cut off the front brake cable today and looking forward to trying it on the ZingIt.
Don't be afraid to order on-line from the States. As the above poster stated do not use UPS, use USPS only. Always check if it isn't clear on their website which carrier they use. Have ordered...
Nice job Bluefin. Tried working with the ZingIt myself. Frustrating, but will try again when I get a chance to get some guitar wire next week.
This subject has been on my mind for the last couple of months. We don't have the privilidge of CCW, so I bought this(Hiker .410) to carry on my KLR. I hope to do some "remote' hanging next summer...
Just completed my HH conversion to 1" webbing yesterday. Using Dutch clips, Dutch buckles and 7/64th Amsteel continuous loop.
Decided not to use whoopie slings to attach the hammock. But made a...
Sorry, can't have mine. I finally got my HH fully converted to 1" straps with Dutch clips and Dutch buckles yesterday. I see where that is going to be a lot easier to set up and adjust than the rope...
Anybody else got any aboriginal (correct term?) pics from their trips?
very ingenious! :boggle:
Had to see the doc this morning to check BP since she had stopped one of my BP pills. Pressure was 92/62, and she was happy with that. But I mean't to ask her if there was any correlation between how...
Check out http://www.atlanticgeocaching.com/
There are many geocachers in that area and somebody there will be able to ans your questions.
Contact the New Brunswick tourism (government site)...
Now there is a term you don't hear every day!
Good thing monkeys are vegetarians!!!:scared:
I agree with poppabear. I have ordered several times from various suppliers that are all listed, or referenced here on HF. That there alone is enough to make me more patient. I no longer ask for...
Does will do that as well.
I personally believe that the older bucks tend not to do that. They are more apt to just sneek away.
You catch on real quick! Have fun guy and welcome to HF.
