The half zipped is symmetric if I understand your meaning. The bug net is sewn on one side and zipper on the other side. It can be unzipped and flipped over SRL then there are toggles to manage it....

Thanks for the info!
Looking for advice for an overnight on the Bloodroot Trail. Which campsite is preferable? Only have one night and can’t get to HNF this time. Is it busy this time of year?
Thanks!
Welcome to the forums from Hamilton County.
This is a great place for info and ideas on how to spend time and money!
Worth the wait 110% agree. Just used my new Econ Phoenix in my half-wit last weekend. Great combo!
Welcome from Westfield. I mostly go south to Hoosier National Forest. Easy drive from this area.
I’m a charter member of light-aholics anonymous so I’ve used about everything. Usually larks head headlamp but still like the Luci light for around camp.
For the ridgeline or to mark my hammock...
Looks like I’ll be able to swing by this time. Finally going to get to meet a few forum members. Weather looks perfect!
On a solo trip last spring a barred owl pair starting hooting it up around 4:30am. They were flying around because the sound kept changing directions. Then I look up and one of them landed in a...
I have straps with Dutch Spiders and most of the time just hook up to the continuous loop. I've carried whoopies the last two trips and not used them so maybe it is time to leave them at home.
Perhaps I missed it on the HG website but are these the same weight or heavier than the normal version?
+1 for Superfly
On my last trip I woke up just before dawn to a Barred Owl pair hooting back and forth. One of them landed in the tree above my head. From that point on I was wide awake! So much for sleeping in.
Welcome from Hamilton County, IN.
Looks good.
I have a camo Warbonnet Superfly. The first serious tarp I purchased and still my go to for versatility.
Whoopie slings are nice but there are many suspension options. I currently have Dutch...
I've backed a few and all but one delivered. The one that didn't raised over $366k and no product. Fortunately I didn't lose much.
Looks great!
Good read. Keep it coming.
Cool idea. Never heard of double dragon knots. Time to google....
Great pictures!
Welcome to the forums from Indy. There are two hangs coming up this month. One up north and one in HNF.
I'm opposite Hillbilly, no experience with JRB but have both HG Burrow and Incubator. Very happy with them and the customer service.
Hard to beat for the price. The little bag isn't very good but otherwise they work.
My Yukon stuff sacks started to rip as well. I used a seam ripper to remove them then tried the buttonhole attachment for the thread injector. Now the continuous loop comes out the new hole in a kind...
Used to live in the middle of a wind farm. Most power lines for turbines buried so local distribution lines were worse. As for the noise...the sound of crops in the field was usually louder than...
Pretty cool idea! This is my second backed project by Mikhail, both turned out great! Ti version is going to be cool.
Welcome to the forums!
I usually have to give it a good tug to unlock the zingit from the fleaz. The zingit can handle it and shows no sign of wear.
For what it's worth Dave Canterbury sees many hammocks in his classes. I had a WBBB and saw several of the big box brands represented one weekend. I think there were 5 or 6 total. Temps were low...
Great idea for the anchors.
My first sub freezing night in a hammock was an Exped pad and Wiggy's sleeping bag. I ended up supplementing bottom insulation with a wool blanket I had in the truck. Ok to 25* but second night was...
Welcome! Go Boilers!
Good idea. I wonder if you could attach an extra CL to the end of the hammock and hang the pack from there with a toggle? Something to try tomorrow I guess.
Nice idea.
Shades is a great state park. How were the fall colors?
If the weather forecast looks good I still string up the tarp in the snake skins. saved me from getting wet a couple of times. The wind moving the trees before a storm tends to wake me up anyway!
Greetings from a Boilermaker.
Welcome from Westfield.
+1 on the CRL with Dutch Hook and a Tarp Flyz. I use it with a Superfly. Setup and adjustment is fast and easy.
It was nice to meet you! My girls love to play in the hammock, but aren't brave enough for an overnight yet. Awesome that your daughter did it. Enjoy the Hoosier Halloween hang, wish I could make...
I wondered the same thing though I was thinking it had to do with thread popularity.
Welcome from Purdue!
I'm in. Thanks
Count me in. Dutch makes great stuff!
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! Can't wait to hang. Not sure if I want to try in this crazy Indiana weather, 50 one day and 6 expected by me tonight.
I know this topic is a month old but I'm planning on using a Downmat 7 as well until I can buy or DIY an UQ. I have a WBBB so I hope it stays put better than the ENO I tried it in. I'm curious how...
Hello all,
I am new to hammock camping getting hooked after a night in an ENO Travel nest. I was then lucky enough to find this forum (and admittedly lurked for a while). Wow is all I can say...
