Only thing I can say, Debi, is their chewing is so loud I can't imagine you wouldn't wake. And you'd better, bc w the pressure of the hammock, its coming down on you!

To answer a couple quesstions... I'm on a site on a rather small island....
Raised the hammock... about 2 feet off ground, best I could do. It prolly won't hit its head on me by mistake. It stuck around almost the whole time and is still in the water a few feet away,...
I think its wandered away. This is my third night here, first 2 were fine. Good suggestions... I have a knife, but not sure about the nerve.

We took pics a couple hours ago and it hissed at us. The animals up here are scarily unafraid.
I guess if its rabid it might attack and there's no way of knowing. I'm awfully close to the ground...
I'm only about a foot off the ground when all in. Noisy, aggressive seeming beaver outside. Not sure what to do but I'm having trouble getting to sleep. All advice appreciated!
