Thanks for the pictures and the report. One thing that might help next time, I use the gator-aid powders to mix up a drink on the trail. It keeps me from getting too weak sometimes.

Sounds awesome. Some pictures of that would be great. I have converted a few of my friends to hammocks, for the same reasons you listed.
I dont have a smart phone, and I like it that way, so far. Usually my only entertainment is a book. :)
Never slept in a tent, but I have stayed in a few shelters. Never again! Hammock all the way.
