Looking forward to the pictures.
I am the owner of the hammock in the pictures. 16.0 oz. with continuous loops. The fabric is the 1.6 HyperD coyote brown. The color did not match well with the bushwack wooki, but it looks great...
Papa Smurf, what the hammock needs is a bushwack wooki. :boggle::boggle:
Spend enough nights in the hammock that you can establish your own priorities.
In Colorado it gets cool enough most nights that bugs are not a problem. I use a hammock with a full integrated bug...
I would hang at Porcupine Lake. Check my gallery pictures for a hang at Porcupine.
Added to original post. Thank you.

The Six Moon Designs web site does not give very good specs. But it is 18.5 from where the should straps attach to the bottom of the waist belt. From the bottom of the waist belt to the hoop is...
I think 36" is the minimum waist size. The torso is about 18.5" Frankly I do not think this will work for you.
Price reduced to $80.

Brush up on your rock anchor technique. You should be able to use stakes at Bright Angel campground and Indian Garden, but Cottonwood is more challenging.
Gear that I have had a long time by do not use. I pretty much am a pure AquaMira guy now.
Old PUR Hiker. With spare filter.

The Grand Canyon is NOT hammock friendly. I have hung in the area where they do not require designated campsites. But you will need to make some compromises about where you camp, and it should be...

Brandon did not measure anything on the fusion hammock. He did check the quality of the seams and the suspension. BoneFire does good work.
I had suggested a design like the Wookie several years...
Very lightly used. I am a lefty hanger and this is a righty that I had made for my wife. She slept in a Ridge Runner and told me to sell the Warbonnet/Bonefire. The 1.0 double does not have a high...
The base hammock is a Warbonnet Black Bird double layer 1.0 & 1.0 hammock. BoneFire Gear sewed a custom underquilt on to the hammock. This is an underquilt integrated with the hammock. The Black...
Below 20 degrees I prefer a full UQ. 20 and above a 3/4 will do.
Funds received.
The invoice does not say, but I would have ordered the 500 lb. because 200 is below my weight.
Yes, it is the trip-pod. No conduits.

Yes, I can go out with a lighter kit. I can push the base weight down to 8 pounds if I am willing to sleep on the ground. But if I have to live with the gear for almost 6 months then I take what I...
Currently I use a kit that is customized to specific trips. But for a thru hike you need a kit that provides a lot of options.
I would choose a Warbonnet Edge tarp (11.3 oz.) with a Dream Hammock...
I always carry protection for the underquilt.
In good weather it is a 2QZQ underquilt protector.
In shoulder season it is a Dutch summer sock.
In the winter it is a Dream Hammock sock.

Could be any weather from hard winter to indian summer.
Reserve the Rabbit Ears campsite in RMNP. If the weather is good then do the Lumpy Ridge loop from the Gem Lake trailhead. If the...

The designated area is undesignated. The actual wording is "as close as possible to the arrowhead sign marking the site." The NPS wants you at least 200' from water sources, but the Peregrine site...
Whoopies were near maxed out. The only two trees were located too far apart. If I had been with another person with a hammock we would have had to camp outside the designated area.

Had my lefty Wooki out for the first time last night. Overnight low was only 45 degrees, but I am very impressed with the easy of use. It is a bit heavier than the Yeti with underquilt...
