After having completed our yearly Christmas Hang in Oslo Østmark we're now ready to announce the mid-winter (hopefully deep) Snow Hang.
This time we're...
I'd love to try to make a teal tarp for my daughter, so if you're up for shipping to Norway I'm in. :)
Crossposting with arrangement from Fjellforum in Norway again.
It's time to plan the next hang, and after a successful autumn hang it's now the yearly christmas hang that is about to take place.
...
I'm in!
...if overseas entries are accepted. :)
I also turned them off. Some are too long, some I find annoying, and I don't really need to see any of them more than once.
Essentially because of their repetitiveness they function as spam to my...
Hi Womble,
Hehe, I can imagine that costs might have stunned. :)
The hang did indeed take place and after some last minute cancellations we ended up with six people present. If you follow the...
Thanks for the update Shane. I know how frustrating it is waiting to get connected. :)
Sorry about nagging I'll try to "lubricate myself with patience" as we say in Norway. (Though we say it in...
Hi Shane,
Still no Paypal invoice, and still not able to order through the website. :'(
No sooner said than done. To be on the safe side I put you both down as recipients. I wonder if I will now get two invoices... ;)
Yeah, unfortunately I get it on all of them. :(
I'm surprised to hear that. I would have imagined all that hardware weighs quite a bit? Have you put it on the scales yet to check the weight of it?
No state dropdown for Norway... :)
When setting up the shipping information on the page you get to after the paypal login I only get "The shipping method you specified is not available to your address." which ever shipping option I...
Hi guys I see you're busy, just moved house myself so I feel the time crunch... :) Just a couple of quick questions before I order.
1. Do you ship to Norway? I only saw US and Canada in the...
Would be cool if you'd like to join. So far I'm guessing it's going to be the 2nd or 3rd weekend and assuming people actually show we're going to be between 5 and 10. It's just a one-nighter,...
This is a crosspost from the Norwegian forum Fjellforum to catch people who are not readers of that forum but who'd like to join it's all hammock hang. :)
...
Well, I think it is being shipped to gulf of Mexico so they could paddle out and nick some?
I think we might have to ask Dutch to create a new line of hardware for this line?
But then it won't be as funny. :)
I'd have to agree, it probably could cause significant damage to the tree. And the surrounding landscape...
You mean the bobbin? :D
Parker Scanrope in Norway has made a new suspension for the distinguished heavier hanger. Unfortunately it's made using polyester so some stretch may occur.
Surely you mean OCD disorder?
I think it's physics which is the naysayer here, but by all means, rare earth magnets are fun (though still operating within the rules of physics).
On a side note, I think this tread is quickly...
I've heard that it also produces a free lunch!
Sounds like we're gonna have to do a Viking Hang with all the Oslo hangers soon I think!
Norwegian temporarily displaced to Netherlands here.
At first glance you might have a bit too much angle on your dangle. Hard to say from the photos. Secondly it might be that you're a UQ user...
In principle no. I checked this when flying with KLM from Amsterdam to Oslo and these rules appear to be universal. You are not allowed to bring any fuel or pressurised vessels. This includes...
Offer sent on Phoenix
Popping as in a drum-like way? Not popping as in threads breaking I hope? :) (Unless you meant pooping, which I seriously doubt. :D)
I'll be very interested in seeing how that goes. I've been communicating with PapaSmurf about making a M90T, (and asked him about a M50 DL today), however there might be an issue of stretchiness when...
What you say definitely makes sense to me in terms of comfort, I do however wonder how the DWR is applied, if it's to a side or if it's simply soaked in it.
NOTE: this fabric has pronounced shiny and dull sides. The dull side is the face side (aka the "right" side) and the shiny side is the wrong side which should go on the inside of your project.
I have to say I'm watching this thread with envy. Though I'm not actually working the week of the hang, I have not built up enough credit with the wife to take any more time away from my family.
I...
Earlier this year I had a night on the cold side in my hammock. Now, courtesy of Tendertoe I'm covered from head to toe, both over and under in 0 degree downy goodness from HammockGear!
Now if...
I hope this doesn't come across as negative, but isn't this really just a bridge hammock where you're not taking advantage of lowering the head end? You're lying parallel with the direction of...
This is better than peace, it's a benediction on a hobby. :D
I did! I needed to catch up on his stream, watched all of the last Hickory Bros series. :)
Indeed. Now she just smiles. Who...
If only. It's all for my much better half since she declared she wanted her own setup after trying my modded Hennessy. Though I might take advantage of the HG4S on occasion... ;)
And the order is in.
My new hammock of choice is being worked out with PapaSmurf... Denied again! :scared:
Wanting to order a HG 4S and they're down for maintenance! How does one spend the wait? :(
I was wondering the same thing. With the plethora of choices on the DangerBird I was wondering whether a light or a dark color might make some difference on a hot (or cold) day.
Oh, and forgot to say: I'll take it. ;)
I really like the look of that quilt, and there is nothing better than a recommendation, but why oh why do so many cottage manufacturers have such bad web pages.
UGQ's pages really put me of...
Is that one of those new hammock disorganisers I've heard about?
Mine is still a bit reluctant about hammocks, but I'll see if I can tempt her with her own bright red toddler sized hammock soon.
+1 on this. You've pretty much formulated it as I would myself. The only difference might be that I don't count what I'm wearing when I start, which is likely to include jacket and a hat.
Have you checked Katabatic as well?
Just realized I'd made a UCR so no news here, please move on. ;)
Seems like flights are going to be around €350 which is a bit expensive. I'm going to have to talk it over with my wife, but to be honest I'm not sure it's really in the budget...
Oh, and if it accepted by my better half and flights are reasonable, then option 0 is probably best.
