Seems a bit of milking was all it needed. Thanks all.
Thanks all. They are on correctly. I will try the milking method.
Hi guys,
I have a relatively new set of whoops with Dutch clips and I'm finding that one end tends to creep under load, slowly lowering my WBBB DL 1.7.
Have people had this issue before?...
I'm going on a paid, week-ish-long hang in the marshes. Leaving in a few days. I keep thinking, 'This is gonna be sweet, I rule!' lol :)
f1.2 and long lens video delights to follow. Check out...
Ended up weighing 663 g. without lines. Cost was about $200 in the end, which is more than I wanted to pay, but hey, it's a massive man-cave.
Ridgeline adds another 71 g, plus pegs (stakes) et al.
That's what I was thinking. Pull the sides apart, hop out and they close behind you. Could be tricky if the tarp is really wet though, if you're brushing against it as you egress...
What's with the image upload on tappatalk - it seems like either 30k or 4mb??
http://img.tapatalk.com/7ca818fb-86e4-9037.jpg Same proportions as the hammockgear cuben winter tarp, sans cat cuts... Few bits to finish off, but nearly there...
Yeah, it just seems to me that you don't get out of the end of your hammock, why would you get out of the end of your tarp :)
This was the sort of thing I had in mind... This would be pretty sweet for when you have the end doors closed in winter. Could seal ok...
Nice one. Hammocking it the way forward. Can be a bit stifling when it's really hot (35+), but everything it... At least you'll be in the shade :)
Has anybody tried making a tarp with doors on the sides, perhaps with shockcord fitted in a channel on each side, to allow direct and easy access into and out of the hammock (rather than entering...
Awesome! So glad for you - looks like a beautiful area and a great spot to stay. Enjoy the obsession :)
Free toilet paper too. Sweet deal. Nice one on the grosgrain. I am about to learn how to sew that on...
Spent the afternoon restoring my newly acquired 1953 Singer 201K - man is it awesome?! Wouldn't turn this morning - now sews beautifully. Feeling suitably chuffed :D
I'm actually having a hard time figuring out how you could pitch a WBBB with a ridgeline so loose?? I always seem to have it very tight when I'm laying in my hammock...
Waoh... Fronkey your energy levels are nice and high :) Wonder if that's what Shug was like in his formative years ;)
Great work Shugster, I was getting a little strung-out there without my fix...
Also, congrats on the tough-guy win. Are you looking forward to Ranier? I was wondering if you've done much alpine...
That looks really really great. I think a red tarp would be a bit intense for me in the mornings after a couple of drinks the night before ;)
Delicious night's sleep!
Just goes to show how important it is to spend a few mins getting your pitch right and to use gear that works for you...
Thanks Joey. Been fun so far :)

Status update: live from the hammock again.
Software note: how good is tappatalk?
Answer: better than looking at HF on a computer!

May actually be back in. Will get back to you on the other thread. Flu is all cleared up :shades:
The reason I was keen to hang here (one reason anyway) was that I hung here once and had the best nap ever!
I am sad to say that last night was not a repeat performance. After a couple of hours I...
I had to get up and adjust the foot end - was driving me crazy. Now stuck in here with this massive sleeping bag. There's down everywhere man!! Wish the temp would plummet 10 deg., so I could snuggle...
Status update: live from the hammock.
Difficulties faced: foot end too low.
Tactical response: can't be bothered getting up to fix it. :)
New gear: dad's sea to summit down bag as TQ - WAY...
Ok, here's an idea for ya... zig zag bury loops that don't require stitching.
In his 'constriction' video, Grizz talked about contributions from other sports, including sailing and climbing. Well,...
Would love to, but have been struck down by the killer man flu :(
Have a great time, hope the weather doesn't turn too bad...
Just tried the inward-opening door at one end. Held my weight, but top 1/5th of the door definitely bent in towards the room.
What I want to know is why very house/apartment doesn't come with...
I find that I get a bit of tightness in the hammock material around my upper calves, which forces me to cross my left foot over my right. This issue is somewhat alleviated by a little cushioning...
Thanks everyone. Shug, I think I must've re-watched all your videos that week. When I finally saw your Jock Rock storm one I thought, 'I'm outta here', grabbed the hammock, hopped on the bike and...
Long time reader, first time poster.
Thought I might make a small contribution in the form of a little video. A quick, last-minute one-night trip to a local spot on the outskirts of Sydney,...
