I get the same thing with my Claytor. You think you need the zipper undone further than you really do to exit. Since it's a long hammock it's hard to reach the sucker once you're back inside.

The Gossamer Gear pads are great, but I doubt one will get you that low. Two might depending upon how cold you sleep. They're very light and thin and can roll up tight.

Neo, it's been a while since I've frequented these forums and I was happy to see, when I came back, that you were still around. Good to know you, man, and I hope we get to hang together some day.

My experience is limited to Claytor, Clark, and Byer. The Byer was way too small, I have a lot of little issues with the Clark, and the Claytor is simple, comfortable, and cheap.
