    Continuous ridgeline drippage concern

I just bought some zing-it, a dutch hook, and a stringerz. I made an ultimate-hang style continuous ridgeline(http://theultimatehang.com/wp-conten...utch-hook1.png

How do I keep water from coming down the ridgeline? Will tieing a piece of string on the ends work, or do I need something less simple?

I ran my CRL above the tarp. No drips.

I know some folks put it under the tarp and I'm not sure how they deal with drips. Zing-it doesn't wick much water though.

Whats the point of a crl if it is over the tarp? Doesnt the tarp sag?

No. The tarp is prussiced to the CRL and pulled tight.

Ahh. I may give that a try. A prussic knot is just a continuous loop with a multiple-wrap larkshead right?

Correct. You could also just use a knot to create the loop rather than a spliced continuous loop.

If you're set on using a CRL under your tarp you can tie a small piece of cord (any cord will do) just inside each end of the tarp. Check out this video by Derek Hansen on various water break methods:

Yes. I had to wrap 4 times for it to hold.

I use a square tarp, so idk if a non-continuous would work. Thx for the video.

Awesome. It almost is like a mix between the butterfly knot and the taughtline hitch. Kinda cool
