    Fronkey Style Winter Sock

I've had a large cut of fabric I had picked up awhile back with the intention of making some hammock socks with it. I finally decided to give it a try. I have made many Fronkey Style Bug Nets, so I thought that might work for a sock, as well.
I had one of my girls lay in the hammock for a test pic. She asked if it was a bug net. I told her that it is a Winter Sock. She said, "Good, cause this thing is hot!" It was around 80° yesterday here in SC. Guess it passed the Adds Warmth Test.

Looks good. Got any dimensions on it? I'm especially interested in the width at the widest point.

I started with two pieces of fabric 113"x48". Finished, it's approximately 45" top to bottom. I think I could have actually made it up to 6" shorter without compressing an UQ. This hammock is hung fairly low. Most people would probably hang theirs a good bit higher which would prevent it from touching the ground. I'll lay it out and measure the finished size.

Looks nice. I've been thinking about making a bottom-entry winter sock but I think I'd need some way to vent around the face area. I dunno, a zipper or flap or something might do it. Or make the head end a rather large opening so you could peel it back.

How hard is that to get out of? That looks super comfy and warm for the winter times, but I cant tell you how many times in the middle of the night, you just need a quick escape to relieve oneself.

It's just a draw string of shock cord at the bottom. Swing your feet out, pull the sock up over your head. 2 seconds.

Nice job, JB. I agree with surferdude, you are going to come up with a way to handle moisture...it's the law.
