ok one minute in, big red flag, should not be using amsteel on those trees. Tree straps = better chance of hammocks not being banned for damaging trees. . . .

+1 on straps. I've actually convinced park folks of straps viability in protecting trees and been allowed to hang when they initially said no (they came back later and looked it over as a follow-up)..
I own the trees fellas. No need for concern
She converted to tree straps later anyway.
