What kind of needle is best for your thread injector?

    http://www.therainshed.com/

I was looking through this site and found their listing for different thread injector needles. I was wondering which needle is best for Ripstop Nylon, Silnylor, and even No-See'em Netting? Not sure if this has been asked, but being new to the forums and knowing more are coming here each day, I thought this was a good question to ask.

I use a ballpoint needle on no seeum and a sharp on everything else.

Here is a good Needle/Thread size chart.

I didn't know about the hang, and I haven't gotten around to making my hammock yet, family crisis. But I hope by next year to have the money to make my hammock and by this Summer I hope to be out hiking and hanging.

I've heard about using the ball point on the No seeum, but I was wondering if maybe a thinner needle would be better for silnylon or ripstop is all. But thanks also for the chart, this will be helpful if I need to use a thicker thread.

A size 9 thru 14 should be fine for sil and ripstop. Just make sure your thread is not too large for the smaller needles.

I've been using the Schmetz Microtex needles. Small thread hole, but work very well on 30D ripstop.

I use these as well on 99% of my stuff. 70/10 is the size I use. They occasionally break on tougher stuff or multi layers.
I also have good luck with Singer Universal regular point needles style 2020, size 70/09. Sews webbing easily.
Don't sew anything very heavy- most stuff is in the one ounce range.
