NH > White Mountain hike this weekend?

    Hi all,

My hiking buddy for this weekend just had to back out due to a family health issue. We were planning on doing a 1 night hike along the AT in the Whites; an ~11 mile hike up & over Kinsman on Saturday, shorter ~5 mile hike out on Sunday. I know it's last minute, but if anyone is interested, I'd sure enjoy some company on what should be a a great hike. The weather is looking fantastic and the foliage should be prime.

    Let me know.

I just got my incubator 20 yesterday to try out on this hike. I have a JRB MW4 that you could borrow. It's a bit bulky and you'd be rather toasty, but better that than cold.

let me see how this week goes. If i'm able to go it will probably be a last minute thing. Can you post up the details (times, location, etc) or PM me. Either way works.

Since it isn't a loop hike, we were planning to meet at the Lonesome Lake Trailhead on Rt 3/93 at around 8am Saturday and leave one of the cars there. Our plan was to take off from Kinsman Notch trailhead (Rt 112/Lost River Road). We were planning on hiking along the AT and camping somewhere near Kinsman Pond Saturday night. On Sunday, we were either going to take the AT down to Lonesome Lake and out to Rt 3/93 or, if we were feeling like more of a hike, hop over and traverse the Cannon Balls and possible Cannon Mountain and then down to Rt 3/93. We would then drive back to the Kinsman Notch trailhead to get the other car and be on our way.

Could you let me know by mid-day tomorrow if you're in? I'd need to adjust my plans accordingly if not. Hope you can make it; I've been wanting to do this hike for a while.

It's looking like i won't be able to make this one. Driving up there 3 weekends in a row is a lot of miles on the car.
Hope you have a great trip though! Are you joining us for the Pumpkin Hang up there next weekend?
