JRB UQ for cold (and I do mean COLD) conditions?

I am planning to do the Minnesota Frozen Butt Hang in late January next year. Hammock is a Clark NX250. Lows could reach 30 or 40 below. Anybody know of a full underquilt made by Jacks that can cope with that kind of extreme cold? Or would it be possible for them to custom make one? Just looking for ideas on the best way to go here. I already own one of their torso length 0 degree quilts and recently aquired a Mt. Washington 20 degree. Been completely satisfied with their products and would love to use Jacks again if possible.

You can layer the quilts that you have to get close to what you need. I look for about 5-7 inches of loft total. Torso length might be close though.
Adding a cotton sock can help greatly
Adding a foam windshield reflective pad gives you a vapor barrier on the bottom.
Clothing system can make up the rest.
    Practice makes all the difference

Or make a bag extender and add a sleeping bag pod over what you already have.

If you want to do it with a single quilt why not give The Jacks a call or email and ask them for recommendations? I have always found them to be very helpful.

The Mt Washington 4 has kept me warm on many a cold Canadian winter night.

Sounds like layering your existing set up may just do the trick, always test it first close to home or the car.
